The Asticou Hotel has always been shaped by two influences: Mount Desert Island's rugged natural beauty and the timeless charm of a grand New England retreat. 🌲⚓

Following our 2025 renovation, designer Krista Stokes described the aesthetic as a meeting of these worlds, blending the adventurous spirit of the island's historic summer visitors with layered antiques, rich textures, moody coastal hues, and a sense of relaxed sophistication.

The result is a hotel that feels both rooted in its surroundings and thoughtfully elevated — a place where history, design, and the landscape come together in every detail.
