It’s estimated that in the last two weeks, 5 to 7 million people lost jobs in the restaurant industry. And sadly, the American Star Diner contributes to that number. It took just a few days for us to feel the impact of this virus. Not weeks, not months....a mere few days. And not just financially, either. Walking out of the diner tonight, with the parking lot so quiet and the realization that this was a Sunday completely opposite of our typical hustle-and-bustle Sundays, hit hard emotionally. We miss you, our loyal customers. We miss hearing about your days, the updates on your families, your kind compliments and your constructive comments. We miss it all. This is a trying time for us, but we are committed to doing whatever it takes to stay open for our staff, our vendors, our customers, our community, our friends. That’s why every single carryout and DoorDash order means so much to us right now. Whether it’s a breakfast sandwich for one or burgers for ten, every order helps us stay in the game. We thank you for all you’ve done and all you continue to do to support us. It’s the motivation we need to get through this. ⭐️ Hopefully this is all over soon, and we get to see your smiling faces in the diner! ⭐️
