A few more King Mackerel were decked this week but the bite has slowed down once this Nor-Easter blew up. I'm pretty sure the King action will fire back up next week with those forecasted lighter winds. The action still has been decent to very good for those working Got-Cha lures and Diamond jigs for Blue Fish and Spanish Mackerel. Lots of nice sized Sheepshead seen feeding on the pilings. Bottom fishing has picked up with a few Slot Reds and Black Drum making it into some coolers. Some nice sized Sea Mullet have also been caught with a Spot now and again with a few Trout and Pompano in the mix. The bite will keep getting better as the water cools triggering fish to migrate down the coast past the pier.

It's time to dust off them coolers and put some fresh line on those reels because fall fishing is upon us. One King Mackerel was decked this week and with lots of bait migrating south I'm pretty sure a few more will be getting decked with the light forecasted winds. Water temp is on the cooler side of the summer range so once those temps stay below 80 degrees the bottom fishing will pickup. The first fish of 'Fall' are the Kings then come those runs of Spot, Black Drum, Red Drum and Sea Mullet. Decent to very good for those working Diamond Jigs and Got-Cha lures for Blue Fish and Spanish.
