Every day in this business is a challenge. Today was a little harder; For the last time we were open for operations as the Lincoln Highway Diner. A place I have grown, met many wonderful people, and have created some of the greatest relations of my life. When I opened up 11 years ago I was a single guy with a lot of ambition. And a tremendous amount of support from all of you. One location turned into two, Then I added a brewery. I have loved every minute of it, but also along the way came a wonderful wife and two children. I noticed I was spreading myself thin and the kiddos gradually getting older, I enjoy every minute of what I do but some things shifted as priorities. A decision was made a couple years ago to position myself to operate out of the same area. A building was planned, A lot across the street was purchased, and construction began. We have put a beautiful, fully functional restaurant together and it is now ready to move into! We have also decided to keep it relatively the same as the diners have been the last several years, not only with the menu but the same wonderful staff that has stuck with me. We are also adding additional things to our menu! Over the next couple weeks we will be working to transition ourselves, there is a ton of cleaning out we need to accomplish as well as get inventories together and train on the new equipment. There are still a few things that need to fall in place, but we are getting close! We are hoping to possibly be open the first part of September. We kindly ask for a little patience when we do as there will be plenty of learning curves and kinks to work out.
But above all, we want to thank all of you for your support and friendship over the last several years. It is because of all of you that our team is possible. We are looking forward to continue serving you for years!
With love, from all of us to all of you.
