Sometimes, after everyone has gone home and the restaurant gets quiet, I like to sit here by myself for a little while. 💙

I look around and think about where we started, how far we’ve come, and what I can do to make this place even better. I think about all the hard work, the long days, the little moments, and all the people who have helped make this place what it is today.

And honestly… tonight, sitting here alone, I just felt so proud and so grateful. 🥹💙

Proud of how far we’ve come, and incredibly lucky to have the most amazing customers who continue to walk through our doors, support us, and become part of our story. You are so much more than customers to me. You are a huge part of why I keep dreaming bigger. 💙

And of course… because apparently my brain doesn’t know how to turn off 😂… while sitting here tonight, a new little idea came to life. ✨

So… stay tuned. 👀💙
I have a few little cute projects in my head that I can’t wait to bring to life.

Sometimes the quiet moments are where the best ideas begin. 🥰✨

WOW… I honestly don’t even know what to say. 🥹💙

I am SO surprised because I truly had no idea this was even happening! Finding out that Madison Family Restaurant won 2nd place in Lake County for Best Diner has left me completely speechless. 🥹🏆

I’m sitting here crying happy tears because this means SO much to me. Not just because of the award, but because I know what is behind it ,all the early mornings, the long days, the crazy busy nights, the laughter, the stress, the little moments, and most importantly, the amazing people who walk through our doors every single day. 💙

To our customers… THANK YOU. From the bottom of my heart. 💙You have no idea how much your support means to us. Every time you choose to eat with us, bring your family, tell a friend about us, leave a review, share one of our posts, or simply walk in and give us a smile, you are helping make our little family restaurant something so special.

And to my staff… I hope you know how incredibly proud I am of you. 💙This award belongs to YOU too. You show up, you work hard, you take care of our customers, and you help make this place feel like more than just a restaurant. You are part of our family. 🥹

We may have only gotten 2nd place, but in my heart, this feels like a FIRST PLACE kind of moment. 🏆💙Because being recognized by the community we love so much is something I will never take for granted.

I started this journey with a dream, a lot of hard work, and a whole lot of faith. And now, seeing our name recognized among the best diners in Lake County honestly feels unreal.

So tonight, I’m going to let myself cry, smile, and be incredibly grateful. 😂🥹💙

What a WEEK! 😂❤️

Between being crazy busy, seeing our regulars, and meeting so many new faces, I honestly don’t know whether I’ve been running a restaurant or hosting a meet-and-greet! 😂

People came from all over just because they enjoy my Facebook posts, and apparently some even came in to investigate whether my staff REALLY feeds me or if I’m just out here surviving on air! 🤣

I promise, I am being fed! 😂🍽️

Jokes aside, the support we’ve received this week has been unbelievable. Seeing new faces walk through our doors because of something I posted and watching them become part of our restaurant family,is the BEST feeling. ❤️

Being an owner means you don’t clock out when you leave the restaurant. 😂 The late-night ideas, projects, menus, and “what if we tried this?” thoughts never stop!

Last night I went to my own restaurant hoping to finally sit down and EAT after a long day…

They handed me a menu, showed me the kitchen and said, “Here you go!” 😭🤣

Then they asked if I could make something for them too. 😂

At this point I’m not sure if I own the restaurant or if the restaurant owns ME. 🤣
Please don’t take this seriously 🤣

I know you are probably tired of hearing me say that we have the BEST customers in the world… but I will never stop saying it. ❤️

Our customers don’t just come in to eat. They take care of my babies, play with them, color with them, come to their games, cheer them on, and love them like they are their own. 🥹❤️

And THAT is what makes Madison Family Restaurant more than just a restaurant… it makes us a FAMILY. 🥰
