At The Sourdough Spot, owner Maegan Vaughan is baking more than just bread.

Like many great food stories, Vaughan’s baking journey began as a hobby. Her earliest culinary memories trace back to an Easy-Bake Oven, but it was years later, as a stay-at-home mom during the pandemic, that baking became something more.

While working part-time as a marketing freelancer, she found herself diving deeper into challenging recipes, from croissants to bakery-style muffins. Then came sourdough.
