Why does it say “Halal” on French fry cases? 🍟
Most people see fries and think: potatoes, oil, salt.
But some fries are processed with additional ingredients, flavorings, or even beef tallow (rendered beef fat). If animal-derived ingredients are used, the source matters. Halal certification helps verify that the ingredients, production process, and handling all meet halal standards.
That’s why you’ll sometimes see a halal logo on something as simple as a box of fries.
At Shir Chai Co., being halal isn’t a trend or a marketing gimmick. It’s a commitment to serving food our community can enjoy with confidence.
Because halal is about more than what’s on the plate; it’s about how it got there.
🍟☕️ Good fries. Better when they’re halal.
