The new supernatural horror film Other Mommy takes childhood fears to a whole new level, and the story behind the movie might be just as unsettling as what happens on screen.

Jessica Chastain takes on two roles: Ursula, a young girl's mother, and the mysterious entity known as Other Mommy, which appears wearing her face. One of the film’s most disturbing details is Chastain’s unnaturally creepy smile, which she developed herself after the filmmakers initially considered creating the effect with CGI.

Based on the novel Incidents Around the House, the film explores the terrifying idea of a child encountering something sinister in the one place they should feel safest: their own home.
