Whether you’re stopping along the Mohawk Trail or enjoying a getaway in one of our cabins, we have plenty to enjoy at the summit:

After a long day up the hill at the Wigwam, we headed down to the Golden Eagle for a bite and sat outside to enjoy the evening.

And then the sky gave us this. 🌙✨

A beautiful crescent moon over the mountains with Venus shining brightly above it and the last glow of sunset on the horizon.

A pretty perfect way to end a busy summer Saturday in the Berkshires.

Last night, the sky put on quite a show. 🌅🌙

From fiery clouds and rays of sunshine spilling over the mountains to a quiet crescent moon hanging above the valley… you just never know what kind of sunset you’re going to get at the Wigwam.

And we’re open until 8PM tonight!

Well, this doesn’t happen often! Due to a last-minute cancellation, our Mohawk Cabin is now available for this weekend—and guess what? The weather is looking just about perfect!

What does a family gathering at the top of the Mohawk Trail look like?

This past weekend was a first for us! For the first time since we became the owners of the Wigwam, we hosted a family gathering that reserved all of our overnight accommodations for the weekend.

The Lodge became home base — a place to gather, eat, visit and spend time together — while everyone could retreat to their own cabin or the Bear’s Den at the end of the night.

Days were spent hiking, exploring and simply enjoying time together. And when evening came, everyone gathered around the campfire to watch the sunset and take in the view.

It was so much fun to see our lodging used this way — everyone together, but with their own space to retreat to at the end of the day.

With overnight accommodations for up to 16 guests, a full lodging buyout is a unique option for family reunions, milestone celebrations, friend getaways or simply getting everyone together in one beautiful place.

Our weekends are already spoken for for the remainder of this season, but we’re now looking ahead to 2027 for gatherings like this.

🍂 We’re Hiring for Fall at the Wigwam! 🍂

Fall is one of our busiest — and most beautiful — times of year on the Mohawk Trail, and we’re looking for a seasonal employee to join us at the Wigwam Western Summit!

📅 Early September through November 1st
🗓️ Primarily Sunday–Thursday, during the day

This could be a great fit for someone whose kids are heading back to school, a retiree looking to earn some extra money, or anyone looking for seasonal work in a beautiful setting.

We’re a small business, so this is a hands-on position where everyone pitches in. Depending on the day, you might be:

☕ Helping in the gift shop & coffee shop
🥪 Preparing simple food and drinks
🛍️ Assisting customers and lodging guests
🧹 Cleaning and preparing our historic cabins
🍁 Helping with general tasks around the property

Because we’re a seasonal, weather-dependent business, hours may vary based on the weather and how busy we are. Flexibility is definitely a plus!

We’re looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, hardworking, and willing to jump in wherever needed.

Hospitality, retail, food service, or housekeeping experience is helpful, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
