THIS is what Empowerment in Action looks like.
Our associate Nishi, alongside volunteer mentor Julie, has been busy baking some very special goodies for sale right here in the shop and every dollar Nishi earns from her treats is helping her work toward a BIG dream: opening her own bakery someday.
And there’s an extra layer of meaning every time that oven door opens. These treats are baked in “Mitchell’s Oven,” lovingly donated by Ruth and David Landsman in memory of their late son, Mitchell. His memory is now part of helping another young person build confidence, learn skills, discover purpose, and chase a dream. That’s a pretty beautiful legacy.
This is why programs like Empowerment in Action matter. We aren’t just teaching someone how to bake we’re creating opportunities for mentorship, entrepreneurship, independence, belonging and a future built around someone’s abilities and passions.
When you support Jake’s Baristas and the Inclusion Revolution, THIS is what you’re supporting. Real people. Real skills. Real dreams. Real impact.
And in this case…some really delicious baked goods too.
