Let’s all send Happy Birthday wishes to the boy who made me a momma 🥹. He’s smart, funny (in a super dry way😅), hard working, and ALWAYS fights for what’s right. What a blessing it has been to work side by side with such a treasure.

24 years old.. the age I was when you joined my world. You’ve made me very proud, Liam. I love you. Happy Birthday. 💜

Good morning, friends!

Once upon a time we sold tshirts in the shop. As it got busier, it became too difficult to manage. And space is already so limited…

Liam found a way to offer shirts with no hassle in PFrank. Our customers can order them from the printer online and it is shipped directly to them. It’s a wonderful solution to a problem I couldn’t solve for a decade 😅. These fresh minds…

We keep the cost as low as possible, knowing that shipping will be tacked on. The more we commit to selling, the cheaper the shirt. It’s tricky, though. If customers don’t purchase the amount we’ve committed to, I have to pay for the remainder. So this time around we committed to 35. I felt sure that we could hit that mark, or at least get close.

90 people bought a shirt 🥹. 90 people took the time to place an order and spent their money to advertise our little spot. I am grateful. 💞

If I would have known, we could have shot for a lower cost. I’ll take more of a gamble on our next go round when we offer another design in the fall. When we introduce the design, the printer gives us a two week window to place orders and then closes it down to begin printing. We’d love your feedback! What do you want to see? They offer all kinds of apparel and we have the freedom to create the design.

Thanks for loving our shop and showing your support! We love you back! 💜

If you don’t want to take the time to read all the words, lol… the short version is WE ARE NOW OPEN ON TUESDAYS!

For those of you sticking around until the end of my blurb..

Three years ago we made a handful of tough decisions. The hardest one being to take one day a week to breathe. Most of those Tuesdays I still put plenty of time into PFrank. A lot of things got accomplished while the door was locked. The most valuable perk of having this day was that there was zero chance that I had to deal with staffing issues. Back in 2023, these call outs happened almost every single day, sometimes from multiple people.

In the past, I had never had such a huge problem with “call outs”. Instead of getting angry with the staff, I dug for the answer to the question “why”. Turns out, when you serve customers and get stiffed, it’s a lot easier to find a reason to not be there.

So in August of 2025 we made the decision to include 15% gratuity to try and fix the bigger problem. And I’m happy to report that instead of calling out for 1000 different reasons, the staff is now eager to scoop a shift when the situation arises.

Of course we will always have last minute situations leaving us short handed, but for the most part we feel ready to offer our service 7 days a week, with a smile.

Thank you for trusting me with these tough decisions. And if you want to thank anyone, thank our staff, and especially Liam for their loyalty to our operation.

Tomorrow is the first Tuesday in 3 years that our doors will be open. We’re not sure what to expect but we will be ready for anything!

🥰💜

It’s a long story but I feel the need to share. And I promise it has a happy ending, despite some raw moments, and a message that will give you good feels.

On my ride to work this morning my husband and I caught up over a phone call. We haven’t seen each other for more than a couple hours this week . Our schedules, like always, are opposite so we squeeze in a connection where we can. I was feeling pretty low, sharing my worries about having to raise prices. I’m terrified that this charming little hot dog joint will eventually get swallowed up by this harsh world we’re living in. Doubly so, since my son is investing all his energy into a future in it. I cried a little as my husband reminded me how strong I am and that if anyone can figure this season out, it’s me.

I put on a brave face and joined my crew, being strong like I’m supposed to. But inside I was an emotional mess, knowing how many people rely on me. In true “PFrank customer” fashion, after a slow week due to high school graduation goers taking all our parking, the place erupted. Every seat filled, the grill sizzling, phone ringing off the hook, line out the door kind of rush. I kicked Liam out of the kitchen to go help my girls on the floor as I held it down on the grill, counting the seconds until he could come help me again. As I was plating a 6 top I made eye contact with 4 new faces sitting at Table 9. They looked lost, unsure, maybe even confused and intimidated by all the commotion. My thoughts? “Crap. They’re new. This is too busy to give them what they need. I hate that this is their introduction…”. I shouted “We will be right with you!” and all 4 new comers smiled and nodded and looked relieved. Their reaction brought tears to my eyes to the point where I couldn’t read my tickets and I reminded myself that this is all part of perimenopause 😅. Time went by and our crew survived the wave. Once I found my footing I was able to approach the table and thank them. I thanked them for their patience. I also wanted them to know that their smiles got me through the next hour of chaos and they gave me strength. I had to walk away because I started crying (🫣😅). Before they left, one of the ladies, Sandra, approached the kitchen and praised Liam and I on how well our team worked together. She shared with me (cue the tears, again) as she motioned to the pin on her shirt of a photo of her son, that she had recently lost him and had just returned to work. Her coworkers took her out to lunch to welcome her back. And they picked us. She assured me that they would be back more often and to keep up the good work. 💔 🥹

Moved, and still crying, I shared the experience with a couple, regular customers who we’ve come to adore over the years. More sniffles.. and then they shared their story with me. Five years ago their daughter was hit by a drunk driver and she suffered severe brain injuries. They used to bring her to Franks and now on sunny days they walk there and enjoy lunch together and spend some time in their Happy Place thinking about her. 😭 This little, happy, hot dog joint…

Through more tears, I saw Sandra pop back in. I hurried over to her curious about her return. She handed me a wad of money with instructions. “I watched you run around here taking care of everyone around you. I want you to use this to do something nice for yourself.” 🥹 I explained my Pay It Forward philosophy and that IS how I fill my cup, and together we decided to use the money to help someone in need. I promise I will inform you of the deed as soon as I sort it out. 💜

The power of positivity is unbeatable. A simple smile or supportive gesture can change someone’s day. Sharing personal stories and triumphs can provide strength to others when they may need it most. I encourage you to exercise the small but mighty actions that I was lucky enough to be a part of today. Count your blessings. Be a blessing. Shine bright enough to light up the room you’re in. How bright would our world be…

I needed a reminder of the reason WHY I do what I do. Why I push myself to my limits.. it’s not just about food.

My convo in the car with the hubs on my way home was much different than this morning. I shared the small moments that changed my day in a big way and cried the whole way through. 😅

Sandra and friends, thanks for the smiles. Thanks for the support, the encouragement, and the opportunity to do something good for someone in need. “Regular couple”, thank you for sharing your story of your beautiful daughter and reminding me to live life to the fullest. I admire your strength and am honored you continue to choose us.

Perfectly Frank is a special place and I hope you believe that I’m ready fight like hell to keep it around for my grandkids to experience one day. You have my word.

Hi Pfrank Family!

I’m not gonna lie, 2026 has been an extreme challenge. Inflation isn’t making it easy on the restaurant industry. Our “little engine that could” is still chugging along, but the ride has been rocky. We have been forced to raise our prices, once again. Several items have been raised $0.20-$1.00 in order to keep up with rising costs. Trust me, it breaks my heart more than you know. Our menus have not been updated quite yet to reflect the increases. We appreciate your patience while we work on this project.

But on a happier note, I am pleased to announce that PFrank will be reopening on Tuesdays! Thanks to our amazing, dedicated staff, on June 9th, we will be ready to serve you from 11am-9pm!

Additionally, our cheapskate plates have changed a tad. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, our double cheeseburger, fry OR tot, and regular drink will be $12.00, plus tax. On Tuesdays (starting June 9th!), Thursdays, and Saturdays, the cheapskate plate will change to ONE hot dog, a FULL fry OR tot, and a regular drink for the same price of $10.00, plus tax. On Sundays, we are now offering the Sunday Super Savings Meal, where you will get 2 hot dogs, a full fry OR tot, and a regular drink for $12.00, plus tax. For this combo deal, you will save a total of almost $6!

We are always forever thankful for our loyal supporters of our small business as we navigate our challenges in this industry! 💜
