Valued Pat’s Customers, in 1979 when our grandparents purchased Pat’s Kitchen, Gertrude and Matthew Nolan had no idea the memories that would be created inside their business generation after generation the following 40 years. Over the years they were a part of rodeos, the Mounted Posse, multiple veterans events, they have been grand marshals for parades and always supported all local business in Norco. In 2009, our family was devastated at the sudden loss of Matthew after an accident with a Steer on a friends Ranch. Gert lost her Cowboy while he was doing what he loved, Matt wouldn’t have had it any other way. Forever a Marine and a Marine’s Wife, Gertrude charged forward running Pat’s for many more years, into her mid 90’s, until 2017 when the sudden and dramatic effects of dementia started to hinder her daily life and ultimately were a majority of the reason behind the closure of Pat’s Kitchen.

When we took over Pat’s and re-opened a few months later, we did so because we wanted to see these traditions continue, we have continued to look after our grandmothers care and after multiple grim diagnosis’s along the way, she has once again physically been making great strides. We are blessed to have been given more valuable time to spend with her.
We appreciate every minute of these past two years with our valued regulars. Much has happened in two years and many of you have been along for the ride with our fostering and then adoption of our son being finalized. We grieved together over the sudden loss of our stepfather Jeffrey Belisle in July. We are still grieving his loss. We have enjoyed many breakfasts together as one big Pat’s family, your family and our little tator tot sitting around discussing our families, children, parents, and spouses. This place has been a home for us all when we had no other. We have loved our times with you all. As life happens things change and our wants and needs as a family have changed.

Effective immediately, we have decided that it is for the best interest of our entire family if we open our eyes and hearts to the next generation of Pat’s Kitchen. We are open to whatever that could mean on our part to help pass on our classic soup recipe’s and then some. We would be happy to see Pat’s succeed. It is still the longest running restaurant in norco and one is the longest overall in riverside county. Over the years many customers have expressed interest in investing or purchasing. Now is the time, we’re ready to discuss offers. And we are also prepared if we don’t see an offer that works for us and isn’t the right fit for Pat’s we will choose to close up shop for now. Focus on our family, and when the time is right maybe bring Pat’s back to Norco!
