📚🍦 Welcome Back to School, Nolensville! 🍦📚

We hope everyone had a great first week back! Whether you’re celebrating a great first week, recovering from the first week, or just looking for a little something sweet after school, we’ve got you covered. 😋

And we have something NEW to help kick off the school year: homemade Chocotacos! 🌮🍦

Our Chocotacos start with a house-made waffle cone, filled with our house-made ice cream and finished with a delicious chocolate shell. Basically, your favorite ice cream cone got a serious upgrade! 🍫

We’ve only made a small batch to see what you think, so once they’re gone, they’re gone!

🏆 Who's going to become VillageT's very first Jackbox Champion of the Week?

It all starts tonight!

We'll be playing Jackbox games from 5–9 PM, with The Crowning Match kicking off at 6 PM.

The winner will:
🏆 Have their name added to our Champion of the Week board.
🍦 Receive one free menu item when they return next Friday to defend their title (whether they keep the championship or not!).
😎 Enjoy a full week of bragging rights.

Never played Jackbox? No problem! Everyone plays using their phone, the games are easy to learn, and newcomers are always welcome.

No team needed. No experience required.

Just come ready to laugh... and maybe leave as VillageT's very first Champion of the Week.

Peach Cobbler is back! 🍑

Honestly, I think it's my favorite ice cream I've ever made.

Every summer I look forward to making this with peaches from Morning Glory Orchards. I combine them with cinnamon and granola in my own signature, preservative-free ice cream base—a recipe I've spent years refining because I wanted to make ice cream the way I believe it should be: rich, creamy, and made with real ingredients.

I'll keep making Peach Cobbler as long as Morning Glory Orchards has local peaches available, so if you missed it last year—or have been waiting for it to come back—now's your chance.

One last question... what's the best ice cream flavor you've ever had? I'd love to hear your favorites!

We're back! 😊

After taking a week to recharge, Village Tea and Treats is open again today, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again.

With the 4th of July coming up, I also picked up a limited supply of fresh blueberries! They're now available as a mix-in for your rolled ice cream if you'd like to add a little blue to go with all the red and white. 🇺🇸🫐

If you're up for a challenge, I'd love to see who can come up with the most patriotic rolled ice cream this week! Bonus points if you let me snap a picture before you eat it. 😄

Whether you're stopping by for your favorite bubble tea, trying rolled ice cream for the first time, or just looking for a cool place to escape the heat for a little while, I'd love to see you.

Father's Day is one of the few holidays where the person being treated often ends up paying for the treat. 😄

Happy Father's Day to all the dads, grandpas, stepdads, and father figures out there!

One of my favorite things about Village Tea and Treats is getting to see families spend time together. Some of my favorite memories growing up involve games, food, and simply being together with family, and I love seeing those moments happen here too.

Today I'd like to say thank you to all the fathers and father figures who invest their time, energy, patience, and love into the people around them. The impact you have is often bigger than you realize.

If you're looking for a simple way to celebrate today, I happen to know a lot of kids who would be thrilled to take their dad out for ice cream. You'll probably need him to drive, and he may mysteriously end up paying, but that's a problem for future you. 😄

One quick shop update: Village Tea and Treats will be closed from June 22nd through June 29th and will reopen on Tuesday, June 30th during our normal business hours.

What if your phone could help you make friends instead of just helping you pass the time?

Last Friday we tried something new at Village Tea and Treats: a Jackbox Game Night.

For those who haven't played before, Jackbox games are party games where everyone uses their phone to play. Some are creative, some are competitive, and some are just plain ridiculous. The important part is that they get people laughing and interacting with each other.

A couple people showed up for our trial run, and by the end of the night everyone was laughing, joking around, and having a great time. It was exactly the kind of thing I hoped would happen when I opened VillageT.

So we're making it official.

Starting this Friday, we'll be hosting Jackbox Game Night every Friday from 5:00–9:00 PM. If you're coming on your own, our main group games usually get going around 7:00 PM, making it a great time to jump in.

No team, experience, or prior connections required—just bring yourself and a willingness to laugh.

My hope is that this becomes another way for people in our community to meet new people, make new friends, and take a break from the busyness of life for a couple hours.

So whether you're a middle schooler on summer break, a high school student looking for something fun to do, a college student home for the summer, or just someone who enjoys games and good company, we'd love to have you join us.

One last thing: if you've played Jackbox before, what's your favorite game? I'm always looking for new ones to add, so if there's a great game we're missing, let me know and I'll look into getting it.

Looking for something to do this summer?

One thing I've discovered as I've gotten more involved in the community is that it's surprisingly hard to find out everything that's happening around Nolensville.

There are game nights, community gatherings, live music, sports leagues, volunteer opportunities, grand openings, and all kinds of other ways to connect with people. But unless you're already plugged into the right group, it's easy to miss them.

Since building community is a big part of why I opened Village Tea and Treats, I decided to put together a Community Connect Calendar in the shop.

I've already added local business grand openings, live music, Mahjong nights, our new Friday Jackbox Game Nights, and community events like the upcoming Juneteenth Gathering. But I'm hoping this becomes something bigger than what I can find on my own.

If you're part of a club, church group, nonprofit, hobby group, or other community activity, I'd love to add it. And if you're involved with any sports-related activities, I'd especially love to hear from you. Running clubs, pickleball groups, recreational leagues, youth sports, spectator events—those are the categories I've had the hardest time finding information about.

My hope is that someone stops by VillageT—whether they're looking for ice cream or just checking out the calendar—and leaves having discovered a new friend group, hobby, event, or way to get involved in the community.

If there's something happening around town that belongs on the calendar, let me know. I'd love your help filling it in.

Two really cool things happened at VillageT yesterday.

First, two middle school boys came in to play one of their favorite board games. While they were playing, they noticed a family nearby showing interest in the game, so they invited them to join and taught them how to play.

Before long they were all laughing and playing together like they’d known each other for years. It made my day seeing how naturally these boys welcomed complete strangers to their table and included them. That kind of kindness and community is exactly the heart behind why I opened this place, so I gave them each a couple coupons for their next visit as a small “Village Champion” reward 😄

The second cool thing was that one of our regulars brought me a Lego minifigure in a boba tea costume as a gift, which honestly made me ridiculously happy.

Moments like these remind me that Village Tea and Treats is becoming more than just a place to get ice cream or bubble tea. Little by little, it’s becoming the kind of place where people connect with each other, and I’m really grateful for that. 🙂
