It's that time of year again. As everyone heads back to school and schedules start changing, we're looking to add a few part-time baristas to the Mercantile crew!

If you're friendly, dependable, don't mind staying busy, and love being part of a small local business, we'd love to hear from you.

Weekend availability (including Sundays) is required, and you'll need to be 18 or older.

OPEN MONDAY!!!

We will be back to our regular hours starting Monday, August 3rd. We are hoping to extend our hours once school is back in session.

Current Hours:
Monday-Friday 7am-3pm, Saturday 8:30am-3pm, and Sunday 9am-3pm

We're making progress over here! Our updates are coming along, but our espresso machine install has been rescheduled a few times. We're hoping it finally gets installed today!

Once that's in, we have a few more things to wrap up before we're ready to open the doors again. We're hoping to be back open by Sunday, and we'll keep you posted as we make progress. Thanks so much for hanging in there with us. We can't wait to see everyone back in the shop!

Big things are brewing…Starting Monday, July 27, we’ll be closing for a few days to make some exciting updates to the space.

We’re installing our new espresso machine, refreshing the cafe, expanding our seating, improving the flow of our bar and pickup areas, adding our cocktail bar, and giving the HVAC some much-needed love.

We’re also launching our brand-new all-day breakfast and lunch menu!

This is more than just a refresh...it’s another step toward making Mercantile Coffee & Feed the place to gather in downtown Nicholasville. We’re more than a coffee shop. We’re a full restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, handcrafted coffee, cocktails, wine, and fresh bakery items in a space designed to bring people together.

It’s going to be a busy week, but we can’t wait to show you what’s next.

Our goal is to reopen Saturday, August 1, and once everything is up and running, we’ll celebrate with a little grand reopening.

Thanks for your patience while we make Mercantile even better. We can’t wait to welcome you back!

Random question... would you all come to a plant swap at Mercantile?

I've been tossing the idea around, and I think it could be really fun. Bring a healthy plant, a cutting, a pot, or anything plant-related you'd like to trade and spend a couple hours talking plants with other people who totally understand why you have 47 pothos.

Before I start planning one, I wanted to see if there's actually interest!

We're officially starting to put together our very first book order for In the Margins at Mercantile (the bookstore inside the coffee shop) and I need your help.
