Chef Austin Hamilton of Hemenway's Restaurant and Chef Brian Hebert of Avvio Ristorante are joining The Savory Grape to welcome Paolo Gagliardo for an intimate four-course w**e dinner featuring selections from Poderi Gianni Gagliardo and Tenuta Garetto.

The evening will explore the w**es of Piedmont, including a lineup of estate Barolos, paired with a menu that moves from oysters and beef tartare to black truffle agnolotti and braised lamb with Barolo risotto.

We’re proud to announce this year’s Curt Gross Memorial Scholarship recipients: Flynn Barth of Hemenway's Restaurant and Cornelius Ibbotson of 22 Bowen's.

Flynn is entering his senior year at Johnson & Wales University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts. He is also taking part in an apprenticeship program with the goal of continuing to grow his culinary career within Newport Restaurant Group.

Cornelius is pursuing his MBA in Hospitality at Johnson & Wales University, where he is expanding his knowledge of strategic management, organizational leadership, and sustainable business practices. He hopes to apply those skills as he continues to grow into a leadership role within NRG.

The Curt Gross Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of our former Chief Operating Officer, Curt Gross, who helped guide Newport Restaurant Group with a passion for hospitality, a commitment to our people, and a deep belief in mentorship and supporting the growth of others.

We’re proud to support Flynn and Cornelius as they continue their education and careers in hospitality, while carrying forward Curt’s legacy of investing in the growth and success of our people.

Celebrating the people and partnerships behind Rhode Island’s local food community. 🌿

Newport Restaurant Group was proud to once again be part of Farm Fresh Rhode Island Local Food Fest, hosted at Castle Hill Inn and featuring culinary teams from Castle Hill Inn, Celeste, and Waterman Grille.

The evening brought together farmers, fishermen, chefs, food producers, and guests for more than 20 tasting dishes highlighting ingredients sourced from Rhode Island and regional farms.

Across our restaurants, relationships with local growers and producers are an important part of what we do, and we’re grateful for organizations like Farm Fresh RI that help strengthen those connections throughout our state.

Where our menu ideas begin. 🌽🍓

Chefs from Papa Razzi and Bar 'Cino Brookline, Watertown, and Westwood spent the day at Verrill Farm getting a closer look at the ingredients that inspire our menus.

From strawberries and asparagus to tomatoes, romaine, and some of the best sweet corn around, the visit was an opportunity to connect with the people and process behind the harvest.

We're grateful for the warm welcome and looking forward to partnering with Verrill Farm and showcasing their incredible produce in seasonal dishes to come.
