Draggin ass and it's only just gone 9am...so much to get done.
Boo Fest is on the 27th and I've got to finish my staff.
Winters on its way and I need to replace the heater box that's been sitting here for 3 months.
Ren Faire build out this Sunday gotta plan a menu.
23rd is the rodeo another menu to work on,just the sides.
Need to install the bathroom light I've had sitting here for 5 months...sigh

Tonight I had an unexpected surprise.
I thought I was going to dinner with 2 friends, but was greeted instead by 7.

Jerod Martin and Marlee, Jason Barnes and Lauren, Pam and Darren Petruschke and little Spencer.
It was the best one since 1999.
I also went to Publix and got some Kiwi treats and Spirit Halloween for stuff to round out my Boo Fest costume.
Can't believe none of us got a photo!!

Way back in 1996 David and I were living at Cocoa Beach a stone's throw from Cape Canaveral.
When we weren't working, for entertainment we would usually go fishing or just drive around and see the sites.
One time we were fishing on the beach right where we were living and David decided he wanted to get something to eat so went back to our place while I stayed on the beach to fish a bit more.
After he'd been gone for about 20 minutes I felt a really hard tug on my line... back then we were using bamboo poles and it wasn't just one pole it was one of those stupid snap and twist together poles, so needless to say that good hard tug that I got made it come apart.
I watched the top of the rod go down into the water while I had the bottom half of the rod still in my hand which is where the line was attached, while the top of the rod literally was sliding down the line and I watched it being pulled away from me.
The first thing that popped into my mind was ...oh hell no some damn fish is not going to get the better of me and steal my fishing rod...so like a du***ss I raced forward as much as I could in the waist high water, trying to pull the line and wrap it around my body. Little did I know I had become an attraction for other people on the beach while I was trying to save not only my dignity but my poor broken bamboo fishing pole.
I did manage to get to the end of it and when I lifted it up there was a baby stingray on the end of the hook, not really sure what to do at that point I wiggled it around so I could get it out from under his lip because I felt so bad at that point. I turned around and low and behold, behind me there's a good group of around 15 to 20 people, they're clapping and cheering and some are even jumping up and down and congratulating me.
I came up out of the water walked on back to our place and David was sitting at the picnic table looked up at me and started laughing and wanted to know what the hell had happened.
I explained this story to him just like I'm telling you,at which point a woman walked past and she said... if I'd only had my video camera you would have been on America's Funniest Home Videos and I would have been $10,000 richer.

After running the numbers,I will be making $447.20 less a month than when I had my job,so not too shabby.
I won't have to drive 45 mins to an hour each way,I won't have to sit in an office for 30 mins waiting for her to get her s**t together and give me my assignments,I won't have to clean up behind cleaners who missed something,I won't have to lie to owners about non payment,I won't have to put up with the rude ignorant maintenance manager,I don't have to smile while knowing someone is blatantly ignoring me,I don't have to deal with that bratty grandchild who ran all over the place and had no manners(should be seen and not heard).
So much to be grateful for and it's already working out.
I'm working 2 days a week,but right now,I'm fine with it.
I'll start doing the delivery thing come January.
I now have time to get to know people better and learn from them.
I can help out at the DAV without being made to feel guilty about it because lord knows my one day a month to do that was pi***ng them off.
So yes,I'm making less...my house payment less,but I'm already happier and it'll only get better because I know something else will come along and fill the gap.
She really did me a favor just in a a s**tty,underhanded way.

One forearm down one to go,already partially designed.
