We proudly opened The Shanty in December 2014, at the foot of the Mount Sunapee Ski Resort (we're right next to Skinner's Ski Shop).

Our newest pub in Newbury sits at the very same plot of land on which our family owned and operated the Shanty Chalet, from 1968 till 1991. Okay Shark Week is upon us & we're up for some fun! 🦈

You can expect good humor & Shark themed decoration to be ongoing from today, through July 31st as shark week officially kicks off on Discovery channel #149 July 26th. Who knows, maybe Jaws will be playing on one of the TVs if TDS programming allows!

We will air Discovery channel shark week programming on three TVs: saving the rest of our six TVs for sports related channels.

Thanks to Annie creating drink specials for the week as well as we have special mocktail, and we have ordered shark cups in limited supplies.

When the promo mocktail cups are gone, they're gone.

When we receive a limited order of 32oz shark buckets for the Shark Quencher alcoholic cocktail, the customer gets to keep this!

We have shark gummy bears, shark tattoos & wrist bands while supplies last.

During Shark week we will offer $2 pints and $3.50 20-oz beers of Narragansett all week in the spirit of Quint and Jaws, shark week, and all things wonderfully shark.

Any guests or team members wearing shark wear, shark- anything that post to our Facebook from the Shanty, will be entered into a raffle, prize to be named later.

Starting Sunday, July 26th through July 31st, you may expect to hear the Jaws theme song during the day or the night.
