I normally don’t get into political arguments, but it’s disgusting watching people sit around bashing a Black man who can only do so much for the city. Then I hear stuff like “ selling Newark to the Jews” — meanwhile a lot of us don’t even have our own paperwork together, no business plans, no development strategy, weak credit, no tax returns, and people would rather repeat rumors than actually research facts.

One man cannot fix an entire city alone.

Only 13K people voted out of a city population of over 317K residents, yet everybody suddenly has complaints about how terrible the mayor is. Newark has definitely changed and developed over the years. Instead of tearing people down online, attend the city meetings, get involved, ask questions, build businesses, mentor youth, and contribute something meaningful.

We can’t keep demanding change while refusing to participate in it.

Our community has to stop being so divided and reactive. Accountability matters for everybody — not just politicians.
