I want to share with you some amazing things that happened last year at Beans Coffee House!
1. We worked with 25 incredible young people who volunteer their time to serve the customers that support us!
2. We worked with 5+ sororities and fraternities at University of
Delaware for profit share days like UDance, Dance Teams, St. Jude's, and other great causes to bring awareness to the community thru our coffee and sandwich sales.
3. We worked with many young people to help them get back on their feet after some mental health issues. Many have visited Sean's House SL24: UnLocke the Light for additional help and guidance on their journey!
4. We are proud to say that many of our young people have left our shop and are working in the larger community. This is huge considering where they started on the workforce development journey!
4. We won an award from SL24: Unlocke the Light Foundation for Community Advocacy. This was huge as I cannot put into words how they have helped our young people! Truly, a beacon of hope in our community!
5. We have incredible "parent" volunteers that work as adult mentors for our entire staff~we just need more of you!
