Hi guys! I am writing this because we need your help.
As you know, these past 2 years have been incredibly difficult. Two of the hardest hit groups have been restaurants and people dealing with food and income insecurity.
In 2020, we became involved with The Hunger Project, which was a local effort that - using state grant money and county funding - paid restaurants to cook and deliver fresh, nutritious meals to individuals in Hudson County, NJ.
This effort has expanded, and is now officially under the umbrella of the new non-profit, Coalition for Food and Health Equity (coalitionequity.org). CFHE is an organization steeped in the idea of radical imagination, community, collaboration, and equity. Together, we have delivered over 150,000 meals to more than 550 individuals dealing with food insecurity across 15 municipalities. We deliver over 3000 meals a week!
To be frank, this organization helped us and about 15 other local restaurants keep our doors open when times got tough.
CFHE depends solely on grants and donations to support its administrative costs to keep its hunger, health, and advocacy programs going.
How you can help:
1) Attend The Coalition's first ever Gala on Thursday, Feb. 10th at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City! You can register and buy a ticket here (eventcreate.com/e/equity). (I will be there!)
2) You can make a donation directly to Coalition for Food and Health Equity here: (https://tinyurl.com/Coalition-donate)
Thank you in advance for your support, and for reading this far!
Sending good vibes.
