HITOTOKI | A room so small it feels like a secret, a list so considered it feels like a gift. Here, a single cocktail becomes an evening to be shared, poured among twenty Japanese whiskies from the House of Suntory and libations created to please, in ten seats no other room in New York City can match. Text 347.439.2990 to reserve.

(*Hitotoki: a brief and precious stretch of time, savored for what it is.)

NODOGOSHI | Forget what you think you know about sake.

Brewed rather than distilled, sake is shaped by four elements alone. The finer each grain is polished, the more fragrant and delicate the result, with notes of pear, melon and blossom and a finish that is clean, soft and quietly lingering. Chilled or gently warmed, it rests closer to w**e than to spirits and asks only to be sipped. Today, Sake Day, is your October invitation to discover it with a slow pour and a kaiseki-inspired dinner on Park Avenue.

(*Nodogoshi: the silken ease with which a drink goes down.)
