Michael Jackson was the reason I fell in love with music, and ironically, is partly responsible for me becoming a pancake artist.

I moved on to Metallica when I got a little older and angstier, and later to more cerebral stuff like Elvis Costello and Fugazi. But my love for Michael Jackson’s music never left.

It’s a long story, but I became a musician/songwriter, and one of the instruments I picked up along the way was the drums. Which inadvertently got me into this weird little pancake circus I’ve been a part of for over a decade now.

Life is weird, guys. I won’t deny that a lot of my situation is a matter of happenstance and luck, but as the saying goes, “Luck is preparation meeting opportunity.” Somehow, someway, my incredibly disparate set of skills landed me right here.

Our artist Emily has been absolutely obsessed with Project Hail Mary, and now the book (by her own admission she hasn't read one in forever). Every time I glance over she's watching Ryan Gosling interviews on her phone. It's becoming a problem..

Sometimes when we make pancake art for social media, it can feel like we're just trying to squeeze into a trend or make something popular that maybe we're not as interested in. Which is perfectly fine, the fact that we get to make art as a job is beyond incredible.

But when you get a chance to make art based on something that actually inspires you... That's literally why we started making art in the first place.

Ryan Gosling has never been quite so delicious. "Fist my bump." 🤜🚀🤛

It's that time of year again, when we celebrate everyone's favorite space opera with pancakes!

What's your favorite Star Wars movie? And why is it The Rise of Skywalker?

Did you think it wasn’t real?

The pancake took 2.5 hours to make, but no amount of time would have made it possible without a decade of experience behind it.

Believe it or not, this pancake, plus one from our Artist Ben Daniel and two from our Artist Emily are the first pieces of Pancake Art ever displayed as a museum exhibit. You can visit them at Ripley’s Believe it or Not! in Gatlinburg, TN.

Believe it or not, I think this pancake might have broke Dana. 🦖🥞🏛️

I’ve been working with Dana for over a decade now and this is easily one of the most 3-dimensional pancakes I’ve ever seen come off the griddle.

There’s really not much else to say, Dana and Emily’s reaction tell a better story than I ever could.

This piece, along with another from myself and two from our Artist Emily have since been freeze-dried and preserved in resin to live on as a permanent display at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! in Gatlinburg.

Y’all…. We have a T-Rex.

It's that time of year again, when the Easter Bunny rises from its Cadbury-filled repose to bless us with boiled and dyed wonders.

Thank you, Easter Bunny for all you do.

A little party never hurt nobody... especially when there’s pancake art involved. 🥞💃✨

We recently headed to the "Night at the Naceys" Gala and the energy was electric. We were challenged with everything from high-fashion perfume bottles to everyone’s favorite pups. 🐕🎨

Getting to create for fellow event industry experts is always a highlight for us. Swipe to see that "Velours Rouge" dancer detail!

A big thank you to for having us out, and here's to many more events in the future! 🥞🥂

New year, new Mike. 👁️💪✨

It’s March, and while most resolutions have faded, Mike Swole-owski is just getting started. He’s officially moved from the Scare Floor to the Power Rack, and honestly, the vascularity in this batter is making us ask questions we’re not comfortable answering.
