In 1975, Charlie Barra, the grandfather of Mendocino grape growing, planted what would become one of the oldest organic Chardonnay sites in California. Fifty years later, those vines feed our COTE Collection Chardonnay, a collaboration with Drink Massican founder Dan Petroski.
“The goal was always simple: to bottle a w**e specifically for the table,” says Petroski. “My hope is that Massican will never be an accessory to a meal, but a catalyst to bring us closer and make us linger longer.”
Alongside it, SCRIBE. Winery Pinot Noir out of Sonoma Valley carries a story back to 1858. Scribe is a revitalization of one of California’s most storied vineyard estates, farming a pocket of Sonoma known for its cool volcanic terroir and deep w**emaking roots.
“We’ve long admired the distinctive perspective COTE has built in the American restaurant landscape – there’s nothing else like it,” says Scribe. “We’re honored to work with Simon, Victoria, and Mia on this singular bottling, and to bring our two worlds together at the table.”
