His U.S. debut album 'Water' (2019) received international acclaim, and his most recent release, 'Hymn For The Fallen with Fima Trio' (2025), marks a powerful new statement as a bandleader, alongside his continued work in film scoring, commissioned compositions, and music production.
Ilya Osachuk — Bass
lya Osachuk is one of the top new bassists in the North American jazz scene. He seeks to push the boundaries of jazz while simultaneously upholding its tradition and vernacular as a bassist, composer and arranger.
Born in Winnipeg Canada, Osachuk quickly established himself as a fixture in Winnipeg’s jazz scene. While living in Winnipeg he regularly worked with the city's top musicians, including Juno Award nominees Erin Propp, Larry Roy, Will Bonness, and Ron Paley. Since relocating to New York City in late 2021, Osachuk has become a fixture of the jazz scene there. In his tenure there he studied with professors Karl Kohut, Jon Gordon, and Meredith Johnson (Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra).
Angie Pastor — Vocals
Angie Pastor is a gifted artist whose music, characterized by its delicate vulnerability and acoustic charm, resonates deeply with listeners. As a singer-songwriter, jazz vocalist, and guitarist, Angie’s fingerpicking style and intimate, lyrically narrative performances create a soundscape that is both tender and compelling.
Influenced by a rich tapestry of jazz and folk traditions, Angie's musical palette was shaped by the timeless sounds of Norah Jones, Nat King Cole, Alison Krauss, Carole King, and other iconic artists. These musical pioneers instilled in her the passion and vulnerability that now define her own resonant performances.
Angie's musical journey began at an early age, enriched by her studies in the vocal jazz program at CCNY and four formative years with the Jazz Power Initiative. There, she honed her craft under the guidance of renowned artists like Catherine Russell, Marion Cowings, and Cindy Hospedales, while also learning piano from Eli Yamin and dance from Shireen Dickson and Micky Davidson. Her college education further benefited from the mentorship of Nicole Zuraitis, Tom Dempsey, Amy London, and Suzanne Pittson, each contributing to her growth as an artist and individual.
Her performances have graced esteemed NYC venues such as Birdland, The Bitter End, Dizzy’s Club - Jazz at Lincoln Center, Room 623, The National Jazz Museum in Harlem, The DiMenna Center, The United Palace, and Virgin Hotels, among many others.
As always, come for the music, stay for the community. Musicians: Jam Session opens after 1st set🎶
