Do you remember the Great Lamb Debate of 2023? Back then, we made the grievous mistake of taking our Lamb Chops off the menu.

They’d been a house favorite since day one, and we should have known better. Never again.

Our lighter Summer version features four chops marinated in Irish yogurt, lemon, and Old Bay, served with a cooling mint and yogurt dip.

Juicy, fresh, and moreish - proof that some classics are classics for a reason, and that we really do listen to our guests.

Father’s Day falling on a Sunday feels like a bit of good fortune, seeing as it’s already our favorite day of the week.

For starters, it’s the one day you can get our Sunday Roast. Recently revamped, it features roasted sirloin of beef, bread stuffing, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese gratin, roasted vegetables, a Yorkshire pudding, beef gravy, and horseradish cream. A mouthful in every sense.

And the cherry on top? Our Sunday Seisiún runs from 6pm - 10pm in The Taproom Extension, featuring fiddles, guitars, uilleann pipes, banjos, and bodhráns. If he'd rather spend the evening watching the football, we’ll have that on the screens too.

G’wan, he deserves it.

Cúpla Pints, Episode Twelve - meet singer, songwriter, and future movie star Winnie Ama.

Originally from Belfast, Winnie’s called London home for the past 13 years, though she still makes the trip back every couple of weeks. For pints, you'll find her at Lavery's and Ulster Sports Club. For live music, it's the Oh Yeah Music Centre or O2 Brixton Academy. And if there's one Irish artist permanently on rotation, it's Joshua Burnside. Snap.

Winnie's just launched North Star at the Irish Arts Center NY, running through June 21st. She'll also be joining us at The Dead Rabbit on June 23rd from 6pm - 7pm for a special performance, and if that wasn't enough, she'll be making her big-screen debut in Supergirl, landing in cinemas on June 26th.

As for the Guinness? Well, she’s got other priorities. We'll call it a respectable 7/10, putting Winnie level with Ailbhe Reddy and Aaron Rowe on the Cúpla Pints leaderboard. Supergirl? Superpints.

Fair warning - if you're heading in to watch the World Cup with us, it's been a little busy. Some matches more than others, of course.

Normally, we'd be cheering on Ireland. Unfortunately, they didn't get the memo.

Fortunately, we've got team members and guests from every corner of the globe, and their loyalties span far and wide. From Croatia to Mexico, Scotland to England, and Costa Rica to Brazil, here’s who the crews at The Dead Rabbit NY, The Irish Exit NY, and San Patricios are rooting for.

Watch every game at all of our venues - though if you’d rather avoid it, The Life of Reilly is very much screen-free.

Most of Long Thai’s cocktails begin with food, and Led Zeppelin is no exception.

Long’s wife loves snacking on fruit dipped in sea salt and fiery chilis, crushed together in a mortar and pestle. Tamarind, pineapple, watermelon, green mango, and guava are among her favorites - and it was the latter that sparked this Daisy riff.

Volcán Blanco Tequila lays down a clean, mineral backbone, lifted by green chile heat. Lime and saline keep things sharp, while guava, pamplemousse, and lemongrass add a tropical edge, and a touch of habanero builds a slow, lingering heat - echoing the snack that set the whole thing in motion.

A stairway to cocktail heaven, indeed.

Today, Dublin celebrates Bloomsday - an annual literary festival marking the events of Ulysses, written by acclaimed Irish writer, James Joyce. So what is it, exactly?

The book follows the protagonist, Leopold Bloom, as he navigates his way through Ireland’s capital on Thursday, June 16th, 1904 - the exact date Joyce had his first date with his future wife, Nora. One for the lovers.

And for those who haven’t tackled its 700-odd pages, Ulysses mentions more than 70 places where a person might find a drink, around half of which are still standing today. Leopold clearly appreciated a good pub, and Joyce did too. That’s something we have in common.

Enthusiasts mark the day dressed in boater hats, bowler hats, and Edwardian dress, retracing Bloom’s footsteps, gathering for readings and performances, touring the pubs mentioned in the book, and tucking into the famous Joycean Breakfast - complete with fried pork kidneys, just as Bloom enjoyed them.

For one day each year, an entire city turns a novel into a pub crawl. Personally, we think Joyce would be delighted.

We’re proud of the team members who’ve been with us since day one, the newbies giving it their all, and even the ones who’ve flown the nest.

When Mario and Ian joined us seven years ago, they arrived as a dynamic duo, rising through the ranks to become Bar Director (Mario) and General Manager (Ian). They departed last year, with a vision to launch their own bar. And now they have. Bar Limo officially opened last week, offering dinner, weekend brunch, and cocktails ‘til late, at 33 Avenue B - and we couldn’t be more excited to see this dream come to fruition.

Ally Marrone worked with us some six years ago - but she left a lasting impression. Always full of joy, she brought her passion, energy, and broad smile to every shift. Now, she’s co-owner of Kinda Nice, which opened in East Williamsburg just last month, blending nostalgic Americana with serious bar pedigree.

Both bars bring something genuinely new and exciting to the New York community, and we couldn’t be prouder to visit our alumni in their own venues. Mario, Ian, and Ally - we’ve loved seeing you at our bars - now it’s time to share a drink in yours.

From bagels and coffee to mezcal, pizza, and ferry rides, everyone has their own version of New York.

This time, Jacob shares his. From his favorite cocktail haunts and date-night spots to the city's best views and the dollar slice debate, he's giving us a personal guide to the places he keeps coming back to - plus a few hot takes along the way. Spoiler alert: Avoid Times Square.

Check the pinned comments for the full list, and stay tuned for more recommendations from the team.

At The Life of Reilly, our menu is a guide, not a boundary.

We have eight house cocktails listed, each built around a specific ingredient. Once those ingredients are gone, we don't make them again, which means the menu is constantly evolving.

But if you don’t see what you fancy, just tell us, and we’ll make something Off Script, just for you. We have a huge range of ingredients and styles to draw from, which means we can really hone in on what you want, whether your request is "something boozy with irish whiskey" or " I want to be a tropical pirate" - yep, both requests we've gotten verbatim.

Because the most important thing is giving you what you want, whether it’s listed or not. Ideally, says Aidan, that means every visit becomes its own experience, creating more and more memorable moments along the way.

Stop in Wednesday through Thursday from 6pm – 1am, and Friday through Saturday from 6pm – 2am.
