ADVISORY BOARD
GCN’s Advisory Board is a committee of 8-10 enthusiastic, philanthropic young professional volunteers interested in ending homelessness and hunger in New York City. The mission of the Advisory Board is to develop creative and successful

fundraising events and build relationships that will further GCN’s cause of aiding Manhattan’s homeless. Each member is tasked with helping to raise awareness about GCN locally, citywide and through both personal and business affiliations. Advisory Board members are asked to attend one monthly meeting (1-1.5 hours), volunteer at GCN at least once a month (2-2.5 hours), and respond to tasks and e-mails as needed (variable). Estimated monthly time commitment is 5-12 hours. The Advisory Board is a relatively new, dynamic group that allows for a lot of flexibility and new ideas. Participation is a great way for young professionals to get their feet wet with a non-profit without the commitment of being on a Board of Directors.
