JRECK Subs JRECK Subs. It's how you spell delicious. Their names were Jerry Haley, Robert Martin, Ellis Martin, Charles Lehman and Keith Waltz.

In 1967, five teachers from Carthage Central High School in Northern New York started selling submarine sandwiches out of an old, converted school bus. And if you take the first letter of each of their names and put them together, you get the word, “JRECK.” Which, you guessed it, isn’t even a word. Since then, JRECK Sub shops have opened up across New York State, all serving fresh, made-to-order s

ubs and hot sides that prove it’s not about the name—it’s about the taste. Today, our fans—or “JRECKies” as we affectionately call them—number in the thousands and remain our inspiration for continuing to redefine delicious.
