S & S Apiaries

S & S Apiaries S & S Apiaries is proud to announce the opening of our new Honey Hut. We are proudly maintaining over 1800 hives around Volusia and Broward County.

Providing pure raw local honey directly to the pubic at 2429 Pioneer Trail, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168 S&S is an apiary located in New Smyrna Beach, Florida that has been raising bees for the production of honey since 2009. Our bees are "buzzy" pollinating our local flora and fauna, and in return producing delicious pure raw honey for us to enjoy. Our company also offers pollination services, breeding queens and single story hives and 5 frame nucs for purchase.

We are looking forward for this amazing event this weekend. Hope to see you All there ☺️

This New Year's eve, may we all resolve to learn from the bees: to stop and kiss the flowers daily, to help each other thrive as the Earthlings that we are, intricately connected to one another and this beautiful planet that carries us all. Here's to another year of gardening joy, new green thumbs and pollen heavy bees' knees!

It's 🐝💓🪻

This year's theme is "Bee inspired by nature to nourish us all." According to the United Nations, who first designated May 20 as World Bee Day in 2018, this theme "highlights the critical roles bees and other pollinators play in agrifood systems and the health of our planet's ecosystems. Indeed, pollinators are increasingly threatened by habitat loss, unsustainable agricultural practices, climate change and pollution. Their decline jeopardizes food production, increases costs and exacerbates food insecurity, particularly for rural communities."

MDC has created several pollinator-friendly gardens on our campus, and you can regularly spot bees and butterflies flitting from bloom to bloom -- such as this aptly named bee balm -- throughout the property. Stop by and have a look! You can even buy some local honey from S & S Apiaries in our gift shop while you're here 🍯
