This week I had the honor of making these cookies in memory of a very special little girl. For my long time followers you may remember multiple times throughout the year that I talk about Vivian and her battle with DIPG- a very rare type of brain cancer that effects children. Vivian is the daughter of a childhood friend of mine and she gained her angel wings last year after fighting DIPG for years. Yesterday, Viera Elementary School, where she attended held a day in her memory. Everyone wore matching gold shirts and shared stories and memories of Viv and her love for all things dinosaurs 🦖 She was an absolute warrior and left an impact on everyone she met and even those she never met that knew her story. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, represented with a gold ribbon. Brain Tumor Awareness is represented with a grey ribbon. These gold and grey ribbon cookies were shared with her school yesterday during their special event in her honor. Vivian, you are so loved and so missed! Forever young, forever in our hearts. 💛🩶🪽
