A beer built for the South Louisiana summer. A light American lager brewed with 70% Indiana grown pilsner malt from Sugar Creek Malt Co. and 30% malted heirloom Carolina gold riceโ€ฆ the grandfather of long grain rice in the Americas. Fermented slow and low with our favorite Czech lager yeast, and lagered beyond patience. Easy on the eyes this pours a crystal clear pale golden, exceptional aroma of faint nutty almond, and drinks with a satisfying ease. Our choice in the cooler for floating down the Bogue Chitto. Release Friday on draft and in 16oz cans to-go.

Yโ€™all blew us out of the water yesterday! After 9 years it is amazing to see our community show up in force and share our space for a good ole fashion party. We spend a lot of time talking about the beer we make, but equally important is creating a space in the Bywater for all walks of life to share the invaluable and rich social life unique to our city. Our most requested IPA. We havenโ€™t brewed it over a year and arenโ€™t sure when weโ€™ll brew it again. Saturated with Citra, Vic Secret, El Dorado, and Sultana hops. Enjoy it while it lasts.

German Style Kรถlsch, 5.3%
Catโ€™s Cradle is a German inspired kรถlsch ale brewed with pilsner malt, hopped respectably with German Perle, and fermented as cool as any ale we brew. Bright and refreshing with a subtle lemon, apple, and pear note on the finish. Easy drinking at 5.3% with a lean and balanced finish for this Cologne inspired beer.

House Brett Saison, 5.6%
There are very few beers as special as our house saison, Famille. Family isnโ€™t just important, itโ€™s everything to us. Our brewery family extends to our staff, the regulars and families that visit us weekly, our community, and our city all of which shower us with love. This beer is and always will be dedicated to all that have supported our little neighborhood brewery down in Bywater.

Famille is our house saison that is fermented and aged in our American oak foeder. It lives with an ever evolving house culture that is Brettanomyces heavy. We utilize a modified solera process where we never completely empty the foeder, but rather only package a portion of the tank and then promptly feed the culture with fresh unfermented wort to keep it alive and happy. This is our 5th packaging turn of Famille and it has evolved to develop bright peach and meyer-like lemon notes, light and restrained acidity, and a strong sense of oak still carries through the finish. As always, our house saison is naturally conditioned/carbonated and cellared for further development allowing for a wonderful dry and effervescent experience.

Dry-Hopped Brett Saison, 5.8%
Itโ€™s so much fun making saisonโ€™s. They are steeped in so much history, live on a broad spectrum largely left to interpretation by an individual brewhouse, yet all have unique expression driven by the fermentation of yeast. This is version 4.0 of A Rare Pleasure and was brewed with a blend of pilsner, oats, rye, and wheat. Fermented with a combo of a wondrous ale yeast strain and two super fun brettanomyces brux culture in stainless steel and left to rest for 9 months. Just prior to packaging we hit this with a judicious dry hop of some Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand. Packaged and left to naturally condition. A wonderful bouquet of ripe candied white grape, grapefruit, and a fun farm funk.

West Coast Pilsner, 5.5%
A pilsner to celebrate nine amazing years brewing in the Bywater neighborhood in New Orleans. A beer that marries tradition with contemporary. A beer with a foundation similar to our euro influenced pilsners, but amped up with a fun new(ish) West Coast hop, Krush. Big aromas of raspberry and mango jump out with a familiar bright and thirst quenching pilsner finish. Made with pilsner malt, hopped with a touch of Tettnanger and beaucoup Krush and Krush Cryo, and fermented slow and low with our our house Czech lager yeast.

After nine years in the craft beer industry weโ€™ve been incredibly lucky to have made friends with so many great people. We came together with two of our most favorite crews, Lady Nellie Oyster Farm and Burial Beer Co., and made a beer weโ€™ve been dreaming about for yearsโ€ฆ and oyster pilsner. The base recipe is a pilsner made with Indiana malted pilsner malt, hopped judiciously with German Hersbrucker, fermented slow and low with our house Czech lager yeast, and lagered beyond patience. To make it fun, we added some of the briniest oyster liquor in Louisiana from to the boil along with the shells of the oysters. A little layer of Grand Isle, Louisiana umami added to this lager designed for NOLA summers.
