There she is. Five years old, front and center, surrounded by family in the mountains of East Tennessee.

She couldn’t have known then where life would take her. How many people she would inspire. How much she would give back. Or just how far a little girl with big dreams could go.

Maybe that’s why this photo feels so special.

Dolly’s story has always been one of hope…believing in yourself, holding tight to where you come from and never being afraid to dream beyond what you can see in front of you.

For generations of East Tennesseans, she has been a reminder that there is always reason to believe in what’s possible.

And today, perhaps more than ever, we hold onto that same hope for the place we call home and the people who call it home.

Thank you, Dolly, for giving us so many reasons to believe. 🦋
