Our Waysetter MiiR Camp Cups have officially arrived, and we couldn’t be more excited.

First, thank you to everyone who supported our crowdfunding campaign. The response from this community has been incredible, and we’re grateful for every person who chose to be part of the Waysetter story from the very beginning.

If you purchased a reward through the campaign, we’ll have your items available for pickup tomorrow at our Waysetter Pop-Up Coffee Tent Event from 8 AM–Noon behind the future home of Waysetter Coffee.

Stop by, grab your gear, enjoy a cup of coffee, and say hello.

The path to opening may have taken an unexpected turn, but we’re looking forward to gathering with the community and sharing what we’re building—one cup at a time.

We may not be open yet, but we’d still love to share a cup of coffee with you. ☕

This Saturday from 8 am-noon, we’ll be setting up a couple tents behind the shop and serving Waysetter Coffee while cleanup continues inside.

There’s no set price—just a freewill donation if you’d like to support what we’re building.

More than anything, we’re excited for the chance to connect, see some familiar and new faces, and share the coffee we’ve been so eager to bring to New London.

The path to opening has looked a little different than we expected, but we’re still moving forward—one cup, one conversation, and one step at a time.

Well... when we said "Fuel the Flame," we didn't mean it quite like this. 🔥☕

By now, many of you have probably heard the news that there was a fire inside the shop this week.

First and foremost, we're incredibly thankful that no one was hurt. We'd also like to extend a huge thank you to the New London Fire Department NLFD and Spicer Fire Departments for their quick response and the amazing work they do to keep our communities safe. We are fortunate to have people willing to answer the call when it matters most.

While there was damage to the space and this will delay our opening, we're choosing to focus on what matters most: people, community, and the vision that brought us here in the first place.

The support, encouragement, and messages we've received over the last few days have been overwhelming in the best possible way. It's a reminder that what we're building isn't just a coffee shop. It's something people believe in.

This is just a wrinkle in the Waysetter story.

The path might look a little different than we expected, but we're still headed to the same destination. We remain committed to bringing exceptional coffee, meaningful connection, and radical hospitality to downtown New London.

We'll share updates as we have them.

For now, we're grateful, we're determined, and we're getting back to work.

A little behind-the-scenes look at what’s been happening lately. 🔨☕

The past couple weeks have been filled with demo, dust, long days, and a whole lot of progress.

It’s been exciting to start seeing the vision for Waysetter Coffee slowly come to life — especially watching the new bar begin to take shape right here in downtown New London.

We’re putting a lot of intention into this space and working hard to create something that feels welcoming, thoughtful, and worth gathering in.

Still plenty to do, but it’s starting to feel real. Huge shoutout to for the incredible work she does 🙌

We can’t wait to open the doors in early June and share it with you all.

Seriously though, thank you!

We’ve been blown away by the support for our crowdfunding campaign and are incredibly grateful for every single person who contributed, shared, encouraged us, or simply believe in what we’re building with Waysetter Coffee.

This campaign was never just about raising money. It was about inviting people into the vision from the very beginning, and seeing this community rally around it has meant a lot.

Now the real work begins as we get the shop ready for opening in early June right here on Main Street in New London. ☕

If you supported the campaign, keep an eye out for your rewards in late May / early June. We can’t wait to get them into your hands and welcome you into the space soon.

Now the work begins.

Over the next month, we’ll be bringing Waysetter Coffee to life right here in downtown New London, with plans to open in early June. ☕️

There’s something special about having a cup that’s yours.

The Waysetter MiiR Camp Cup is more than just part of our crowdfunding campaign. It’s something you bring with you. Something that becomes part of your routine. A small reminder to slow down, be present, and enjoy a really good cup of coffee.

And yeah… it also gets you $1 off your drink every time you bring it in. FOR LIFE!

But more than that, it represents being part of Waysetter from the very beginning. Supporting something intentional. Helping create a space for connection, community, and really great coffee right here in New London.

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about the space, and one of the biggest is about the books.

Flyleaf Book Shop will continue to be part of Waysetter, with a slightly reimagined layout. It will have its own space toward the back of the shop, making it easy to browse and enjoy without interrupting the flow of the café.

There’s something special about coffee and books together, and we’re excited to carry that forward here in downtown New London.
