Lalibela Ethiopian Restaurant Serving healthy, authentic Ethiopian cuisine in the heart of New Haven for over two decades. Food ca

Eating at Lalibela is a flavorful experience that’s not to be missed. Our recipes come to us from the restaurant our family started in Ethiopia and are full of the spices and seasoning that we hold dear. We prepare each dish from scratch using fresh ingredients, each one cooked with care to bring out the vibrancy in each flavor. And our food is served on a bed of injera, a type of sourdough crepe that you’ll also use as a utensil, pinching each bite between a small a piece for an intimate dining ritual. When you share a meal with us, you also share our tradition, and we welcome everyone to discover the most delicious parts of Ethiopian culture.

No forks, no plates — just injera and hands doing the talking. 🍽️ This is how a table is supposed to feel: shared, warm, and a little bit messy.
