The Lunch Lady…
During my senior year, my teacher gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions until I read the last one: "What is the first name of your lunch lady?” Surely this was some kind of joke. I see her every day. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50's, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade. "Absolutely,” said the teacher. " In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and respect, even if all you do is smile and say "hello. “I’ve never forgotten that lesson”. I also learned her name and that everyone serves a purpose in life no matter what their title.

Hello Colonial families!

DELIVERY MEALS CHANGE EFFECTIVE MONDAY, OCTOBER 26

DELIVERY DAYS, TIMES AND STOPS ARE CHANGING to multi meal distributions
The week of October 26th our program schedule needs to change due to schools reopening.
Please pay close attention to the new delivery schedule posted on the Colonial website,: http://www.colonialschooldistrict.org/community/remote-food-program/.
You will be receiving meals for multiple days, Bags will be heavy so please bring an extra bag or box. Students will be permitted to leave zoom classes to pick up meals. Meals are NO cost to any child 18 years of age and younger, and masks are required when picking up meals.

Meal Delivery Dates in October

Monday, October 26th: 2 breakfast / 2 lunches (1 hot lunch 1 cold lunch)
Wednesday, October 28th: 2 breakfast / 2 lunches (1 hot lunch, 1 cold lunch)
Friday, October 30th: 3 breakfast / 3 lunches (1 hot lunch, 2 cold lunches) this will cover Monday, November 2nd and November 3rd
Meal Delivery Dates in November

Wednesday, November 4th: 3 breakfast / 3 lunches (1 hot lunch, 2 cold lunches)
Monday, November 9th: 3 breakfast/ 3 lunches (1 hot lunch, 2 cold lunches)
Thursday, November 12th: 2 breakfast / 2 lunches (1 hot lunch, 1 cold lunches)
Monday, November 16th: 2 breakfast / 2 lunches (1 hot lunch, 1 cold lunches)
Wednesday, November 18th: 2 breakfast / 2 lunches (1 Hot holiday lunch, 1 cold lunch)
Friday, November 20th: 3 breakfast / 3 lunches (1 hot lunch, 2 cold lunches) this will cover Monday, November 23rd and Tuesday, November 24th
