Oh My Guad 💥🎉🙌🥇🍻♥️ we had a wonderful day. So many great runners, friends, families came together. We will have more photos and results for you. There are so many people who helped make this event happen again. The runners poured their hearts into this event and there were many people with stories that keep them coming year after year. Celebrate National Black Dog Day.

Update Music is canceled for today. Catch Phil next Thursday 6-9 pm

🖤🐾 Happy National Black Dog Day! 🐾🖤

Today we’re celebrating some of the beautiful black dogs who call Sweet Dreams sanctuary home. Coraline, Annie, Enoch and Lucy may share a coat color, but each one has a personality all their own. 🥹🖤

Black dogs can sometimes be overlooked in shelters, although research on the effect of coat color on adoption is mixed. What we do know is that things like age, size, breed and individual circumstances can all influence how long a dog waits for a home.

And our senior black dogs have something extra special we happen to adore: their silver. 🥹🩶

As dogs age, gray and white hairs often begin to appear around the muzzle. On a black coat, those little silver hairs can be especially noticeable—tiny reminders of all the years they’ve lived, loved and learned. 🖤

So today, take a second look at a black dog. Take a moment to see the personality underneath it all. Because black dogs have so much to give! 🐾🖤

Show off your black dogs in the comments! 👇

For John Muehl and his family, Guadalupe Brewing Company has become part of what makes New Braunfels feel like home.

After moving to New Braunfels three years ago, John and his family started spending time at Guadalupe Brewing Company and quickly became fans of the b**r, pizza, and atmosphere. Over the years, that connection has only grown, and John says his kids are especially big fans of the pizza.

John is a financial advisor with Edward Jones here in New Braunfels, where he helps clients with areas like retirement planning, wealth strategies, portfolio management, and estate planning. A major focus of his work that he calls his is helping people prepare for retirement so they can stay in retirement.

John chose to sponsor the Oh My Guad! 5K because he wants to see Guadalupe Brewing Company and other local businesses continue to grow and thrive.
As John put it, “Local business people are my jam.”

We’re proud to have John and Edward Jones supporting this year’s race and helping us celebrate the businesses and people who make the New Braunfels community special, and support SJRC Texas and ROTC Cadets.

Thank you, John, for supporting the Oh My Guad! 5K and our local community!
