FLAVOR FRIDAY 🌶️ Meet my dad, the legend in his own mind, the Renaissance man of the ages, and quite possibly the biggest fan of flavor. Season All. 😂 This man sends me pictures ALL THE TIME of whatever he’s putting my seasoning on, and I absolutely love it. But today is an extra special Friday because he and my mom are CLOSING ON THEIR NEW HOUSE! They trusted their daughter to commandeer the whole transaction as their real estate broker. 🏡❤️ There’s something pretty special about getting to take care of the people who have spent your whole life taking care of and believing in you. I love this man. I love the way he supports every crazy idea I have. And I REALLY love that apparently no meal is complete at his house without a little flavor. 😂🌶️ Congratulations on the new house, Mom & Dad! Now we just need to make sure the spice cabinet has a permanent spot for the third shaker. ❤️

Apparently Elfita got her dates AND her seasons mixed up and showed up in August instead of December. 8/25 is NOT 12/25! 😂🎄☀️ So what’s an Elf on the Shelf supposed to do in Texas in the middle of summer? Cut off the sleeves, ditch the tights, throw on some cowboy boots and taco earrings, grab a trucker hat and go incognito, obviously. 🤠 Last night Elfita made her official summer debut at Water 2 Wine NBTX, where these ladies attempted to capture her likeness on canvas. And let me tell you…some of them understood the assignment better than others. 😂 She may be several months early, slightly confused and possibly kicked out of the North Pole, but she’s here now. I have a feeling we haven’t seen the last of her! 😂🎄🤠🍷

Happy 96th Birthday to my beautiful Gram, Gracie. 💗 Her name has always felt so fitting because she truly is beginning and end of all the grace in my life. Grace means undeserved favor, a blessing you didn’t earn, could never repay, and were simply lucky enough to receive. That’s her. To have been loved by her, shaped by her, and to still have her here at 96 years old is one of the greatest gifts of my life. So much of who I am carries a little piece of her. Gracie, you are my grace, my undeserved favor, and my reminder that God has been so very good to me. I love you more than words could ever hold. Happy 96th Birthday, Turk! 💗🎂✨
