Good evening, folks!!! Yes, this is Crema Brew but I'm going to share an extremely different post with you tonight 😉. Why??? Because it involves our dear dear friends AND was mighty interesting besides.

So this afternoon we drove out to Bud Harris Auto Sales & Parts. They are in the middle of a huge demolition project due to the highway enhancement turning into an interstate that infringes on their property. Sooo, umpteen vehicles must go...into the CRUSHER!!! It was very interesting to watch the process...

After the forklift picks up a vehicle, it takes it over to a "Spike" where a hole is punctured into the gas tank so the tank gets emptied. Then it gets set down and a forklift prong "gently" pries open the hood and trunk to make sure they are empty. Any battery gets removed. If there are aluminum wheels, those get removed from the vehicle. I tell you, the man walking around on the site has to be VERY trusting of the man running the forklift who also operates the crusher. Then the vehicle is ready to go into the crusher. The exposed side of the vehicle gets knocked inward by the forklift prongs and then the crusher goes to work. They end up having three vehicles crushed all together in a stack before they exit the crusher and are wrapped up in some kind of green netting. Finally they are ready to be hauled away on the semi. Such a fine-tuned process with great precision!!! It was simply fun to watch!!!!

Good afternoon on another hot one!!! I had to think today that I'm glad God didn't call us to live where one of our children lives...it's so incredibly HOT there year-round. In fact, their average lows never goes below 71 degrees and they only receive 34 days of rain per year!! Seven of the months receives only one day of rain or none at all. I guess our weather isn't so bad after all. 😉

This Friday we are honored to once again have Arnie of Acoustic Jukebox make his music on our front porch from 10am until noon. Come on out and enjoy....

This evening's post hits EVERYONE in some way, shape or form. Either you yourself are suffering under addiction or someone you know and love is in that situation. Help is available!

Last month's Coffee Leaks focused on entering the foster care system as a foster parent. I have family members who are serving (and loving) children in their care OR are currently living in a loving home where faithful support is needed. Thank you for giving $80.00 to assist our local foster care chapter!! YOUR home may be the place for ANOTHER child to join you around your dinner table!!

Good morning 🌞,

Many of you may not be aware of a change which has recently developed within our family: Austin and Regina moved into our neighborhood 😁!!! How cool and unexpected is this! We enjoy taking evening walks with the children and/or family and hearing their daughter express, "I want to go to your house!!" ❤️ And I must say, their little house is simply perfect for them!! Having them nearby is a gracious gift from Above!

Good evening to you beautiful people!!!! Hope you enjoyed a great day!

So yesterday a little something happened at the shop. When receiving change back from the till, a customer claimed that she had given us a twenty versus a five.🤨Hmmm. Gilly did a good job taking care of her and the customer was happy. But at the end of the day, our till was off fifteen dollars.

This morning the same customer dropped by the shop and handed over a twenty dollar bill. She realized her mistake and certainly wanted to make it right. The extra five was meant to show Gilly how sorry she was and was intended specifically for her! 🥰

There ARE still folks who live by a standard of integrity and honesty and sound ethics. Thank you!!!!

After working our morning shift, we set to work painting in the remodel area. We began painting the bathroom, then moved on to the storage room and finally finished up painting the office. I did the rolling while Donovan painted the edges. So thankful I could be a help and thankful to work alongside my hubby. But, boy was it hot back there!!!!

Good afternoon, friends!!!

It is certainly a great time to enjoy a dish of ice cream or a sundae or a delicious CHOCOLATE MALT MILKSHAKE at our local Cookout. 🥰 This afternoon was the perfect opportunity to grab my 90 year old mother and head uptown to share a shake!!! This is one of our favorite things to do together! Once we have our ice cream, we simply park the van, keeping it running on these hot days, divide up our shake and begin relishing the taste, one spoonful at a time. And of course, we take this time to talk and catch up with each other. A double win.

It doesn't take much to make a good memory!!
