Fresh flowers have arrived at Petra! 🌻

Yesterday, we sent our first customer home with this beautiful bouquet of locally grown sunflowers.

We're now offering fresh flowers by the stem, so you can pick up a single bloom or build your own bouquet.

Our flowers come from nevada_city_blooms, a wonderful local farmette, and Hoot & Annie's Regenerative Farm (about 15 mins away from Nevada City). We're grateful to support these local growers and to bring a little more beauty into our community.

Summer afternoons at Petra 🌿

Here's a quick photo after yesterday's lunch rush.

Our dining room has been a mix of all kinds of summer moments lately. Friends catching up over a long lunch, people grabbing a quick bite on their way to work, and everything in between. We've also been packing lots of online orders for folks on their way to the river ☀️🌊

Our friend Lana used every color of the rainbow to create this beautiful summer bowl from our Build-Your-Own Bar. It looks like she was in the mood for something bright and crunchy!

Did you know that all of our bowls are fully customizable? Choose what looks good and build a meal that's exactly how you want to eat — vegan, vegetarian, paleo, gluten-free, hearty, or light.

🍅 Sweet local tomatoes (organic + regenerative)

Summer bowls by the river ☀️🌊

We have delicious regeneratively grown zucchini from Hoot and Annie's farm, harvested just a short drive from Petra. They use heirloom seeds, organic compost, and worm tea to nourish their crops.

We've loved seeing so many of you stopping by to grab meals to-go before heading to the river. It makes us happy to know that local food and local landscapes can be part of the same summer adventure 💚🏞️

The summer veggies just keep on giving ☀️🍅🫑

This gorgeous bowl is loaded with tomatoes, jalapenos, pickled red onion, and all the colors of the season 🌈

For those that don't know, we work with a network of local farms to bring in the best produce from Nevada County and the surrounding area. We also make all of our dressings and dips in-house every morning (including our organic hummus, pictured here).
