What a day. A day full of emotion, tears, happiness, and thankfulness.

As the Corral Crew awoke this morning, I couldn't help but think what would have been.

The hustle would have started at 7am with coffee to be made, stations to be set up, salads to get out, potatoes to mash, dishes to wash, phones to answer, final table settings to confirm, desserts to be plated, and all the finishing touches to be placed to serve our wonderful customers.

The smell of chicken and ribs would be flowing through town. Cars filling the parking lot with patrons entering to be seated and trusting us to host their family this Thanksgiving. Customers smiling with full plates, full glasses, and full hearts.

This is just a smidgen of the usual organized chaos that is Thanksgiving morning at the Corral. Each and every one of us thought about each and every one of you today.

A day full of emotion: Happy to see family that traveled from out of state, sad we couldn't serve our customers, exhausted from the past ten days.

A day full of tears: Missing the Corral, our staff, our customers, and the chaos.

A day full of happiness: Being surrounded by loved ones and connecting with our staff this morning to tell them we still appreciate them!

A day full of thankfulness: Thankful for our staff, customers, health, family, and the fact that no one was hurt in the fire!

Enjoy your families this Thanksgiving. Be grateful and eat plenty! Give that extra hug and spend as much time as you can together.

We are all together in spirit, God bless you all. Hugs!

Corral family, friends, staff, and supporters:

Thank you for the outpouring of support! This amazing community is why we are here in the first place and events like this really remind us of the strong bond we all share.

First and foremost, please help us in thanking the first responders that fought through adverse conditions to keep everyone safe. We are thankful to report no injuries! These folks give their time and energy to protect each and every one of us. There is no way to show the amount of gratitude we have for Osakis, Alexandria, Carlos, and Forada Fire Departments along with North Memorial and the Douglas County Sheriff's Department and Posse.

A shout out to Ferguson Brothers Excavating. They showed up and literally drove their equipment right into the smoldering rubble to help control the situation. Amazing to watch all these people work together.

Our patrons are the best, you are why we do this! We love you. Thank you for the outpouring of support. We have received so many phone calls, texts, and social media messages/posts and we apologize for not getting back to everyone. We have read every single one. Do know that they lift us up during this difficult time. We have the BEST customers!

We also have the BEST staff! We are working to put a plan in place to ensure they have zero interruption in their lives going into this holiday season. Without our staff, the wheels don't turn and we fully recognize that. Please stay in touch and know we are thinking of you all.

We also see you, fellow lakes area business owners. The business community here is second to none. Thank you all for the messages and posts. We have created relationships with many of you over the years and you are all amazing! We appreciate each and every one of you.

There is a lot of work to do. We will keep you all updated as we move forward.

We would like to wish everyone the most wonderful holiday season.

Squeeze your person a little harder and enjoy your surroundings a little longer this year - things can change in a matter of moments.
