What happens when one of Rachael’s best friends who is a mega-fan of Strega has a fun idea for a themed dinner and art performance? ….🎭 We make it happen!
The backstory: Kathy Houghton had the brilliant idea for us to host a Casablanca (the film) themed night and Moroccan dinner. The only problem? Rachael hadn’t been to Morocco.... yet. And now here we are in late April... closed for the spring season, and Rachael has been doing her research in Moracco and will be popping up at strega to share her fresh inspiration from her travels there!
So please join us for this fun pop-up! Come dressed in your 1940’s best and be ready to feast on Moroccan food, enjoy a theatrical montage, and hear some of our favorite old time music performed by Sir Noah Bauer on the Piano.
Dinner will be multi-coursed and served family style at your table, so round up friends and family! Think savory & sweet flavors, aromatic spices, succulent tagines (tender stews cooked in clay pots), dried fruits, cumin, saffron, cinnamon, turmeric, ras el hanout (“head of shop” complex spice blend), b’stilla (savory meat pies dusted with powdered sugar), cous cous, preserved lemons, harissa (spicy sauce), olives, and so much more!
Dinners are next weekend- Saturday and Sunday. (4/25 & 4/26) $75/person; beverage pairings will be offered for $45.

Marinated Octopus with onion-raisin sauce
Sardine Balls with orange & mint
Lamb kefta kebabs
Pastilla (chicken, egg & almond phyllo pie dusted with cinnamon and powdered sugar)
Rfissa with lentils, peanuts and boiled eggs
Warm spiced Couscous with saffron, carrot, zucchini & preserved lemon
Chicken Tagine with Apricots, Olives, Potatoes & Onion
Moroccan Chopped Salad with Cucumber, tomato, cabbage, radish, parsley, chopped pickles
Sesame Orange & Honey Semolina Cake
