We’ve hired several new people so we’re looking forward to opening the phone line soon. We will most likely start with week days and Friday mornings /afternoons but no definite decisions have been made yet.

I’m glad to see our crew is more consistent every day at replicating our artisan pizza and frozen desserts that we are known for. I have yet to hear anyone say that South Charleston pizza isn’t as good as the original. This makes me happy and just a little disappointed for some reason at the same time.

That just shows us how hard Stephen has worked to train the new staff and hold them accountable for that same quality.

We had many great suggestions for the rooster’s name in the South Charleston shop. Nebo it is and the first person to suggest it was Lynn Elliot! Show this post to the cashier at your next visit for a free scoop of dessert.

I was discussing our inability to open the phone line yet with my sister the other day and she relayed a story from an acquaintance of hers who walked into a totally empty Mexican restaurant and the hostess said it would be a 90 minute wait due to the volume of take out phone orders. They turned and walked away….

That is not the model we envision at Pizzas & Cream. Though the vibe may be like a cafeteria or church hall, that is by design because that is where families and friends, new and old, gather to break bread and socialize.

If you are a new customer, please be aware we back everything with 100% satisfaction guarantee. We’ve seen a few comments from people who are not familiar with wood fired pizza and think our pizzas are burnt without even trying them. Of course we may accidentally burn the bottom on occasion and if that happens, we will be happy to make it again, just bring it to the counter and let us know. And of course there are some that just don’t like the char for whatever reason. That’s okay.

Also, we do not add sugar to the dough or sauce, so that is a big difference from other pizzas as well. Sugar would actually make the pizzas burn easier in the high heat oven.

Another amazing week at South Charleston! We continue to be blessed by your positive feedback. Since so many are having a great experience and our average order fulfillment time is only 12 minutes, we are still reluctant to open the phone lines.

Did anyone notice the big rooster in the corner? We need a name for him. Give us your suggestions and if we use yours, you win a free scoop of dessert.

God is Good! The South Charleston shop sold 1,085 pizzas combined on their first Friday and Saturday. And that is without any phone or online orders…. Consequently; we have yet to be able to open the phones and online ordering..

We can’t thank you fans enough for your outpouring of love and support.
