Brad, Joe and Wes are the heart and soul of the Grimes County Cookers (GCC), an award winning competitive BBQ team established in 2017. Similar to most BBQ teams, team members have come and gone, and the team name has changed a few times over the past decade, but for these three Pit Master's from Navasota, Texas,somethings will never change - their passion for BBQ, friendly competition, love of a

good time and their dedication to to their families, friendships and community. Over the years GCC, formally known as the Back Door Smokers, have received numerous awards for their ribs, brisket, and chicken including;Grand Championships,1st places, top fives, and top tens. You can find this group of barbecue gurus spending their free time with their families, hanging around the BBQ pit and obsessing over Texas style Low&Slow BBQ. Go-Texan 2020. We didn’t walk or have any wins this year -but we sure did have a great time and that’s what’s it all about!! We loved seeing our friends and family win big this year and are so excited for them!! The Plantersville Swangerettes- we will see y’all in Houston!!!!😁
