Meet the humble two man band:
Chef Joe Bond began cooking food at an early age and still uses many recipes handed down to him by his grandparents, he comes from a long line of cooks. Maybe you remember him from having stopped by one of the four Smokey meats places he once owned around town or seen him on the "Talk of the town" television show here in Nashville. Over the years he has worked hard to
develop his gift of making folks happy with his food and has his own sauce line and fish batters in Kroger grocery stores. Even though his product is made local here in our music city you can find it near the seafood aisle as far away as Texas. Chef Silver is a up and coming Southern cook that also began his love for food at an early age. His first memories are of helping his grandmother can vegetables and leaning about produce from his Grandfather whom was a farmer native to Tennessee as well.Being born into a military family he spent a great deal of his life growing up on naval bases where he learned a great deal of ethnic cooking techniques but Southern "Soul" food is where his passion is. He has had the great experience of traveling the country and enjoying local farm to table kitchens in many a region from ocean to ocean and brings his talent for Art into their food, as well as his deep love and appreciation for seafood. Between the two of them,they make quite the duo. Joe has been a pit master for years,catering to large families with his barbecue specialties such as whole pigs and specialty ribs, his fried fish batter has made him a local legend among his customers. He has his own dry rub Memphis style seasoning on the market that is time perfected and the tasted alone speaks of decades of experience. Chef Silver has a knack for the creative side and has made a living as an Artist for a big portion of his adult life. He loves all things southern and has major Cajun influences in his cuisine. He is currently developing his own Salad dressing line with southern flavors in mind such as his Honey blackberry vinaigrette. He hopes to bring the influences he has picked up on the road into the savory southern food that him and Joe create. These guys cook all their food exclusively on hard wood for a unique smokey taste you won't forget. As diverse as both of their backgrounds are, the love for food has brought them together to form the humble team of make this unique culinary team.They Smoke whole pigs, beef brisket, beef ribs, baby back and country style ribs, whole chickens, Turkeys-hams and so much more. All of their fried items are hand battered and fried on site. They currently regularly feed the Football and basketball teams at some local universities and offer their services to the public. Joe is one of the founders of a local charity organization and a grandfather. Silver does photography when he's not cooking with Joe. Expect big things from these guys in the Future.
