Meet Lylah, our October Barista of the Month!

Lylah is truly a ray of sunshine!

From being a star student and loving musical theater to absolutely killing it behind the bar, she brings so much talent, positivity, and laughter to our Café Sperry’s family. She keeps us smiling, our coffee flowing, and our days a little brighter!

And this month, she’s bringing a little magic to the menu! 🔮

Last night, our Sam’s Place & Sperry’s General Managers traded their restaurants for a little friendly competition and some well-deserved time together! 🎳

With managers from all of our locations in one place, the night was about more than just having fun. It was a chance to get to know each other outside of work, strengthen relationships, and continue building a culture where our teams can lean on one another, share ideas, learn, and grow together.

Our owners also shared some of the goals and exciting things ahead for Sam’s Place & Sperry’s in 2027, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come.

As a family-owned business, relationships have always been at the heart of what we do. The stronger we are together, the better we can support our teams and, most importantly, take care of the guests who walk through our doors every day. We’re incredibly grateful for the people who make Sam’s Place & Sperry’s what they are, from our teams behind the scenes to the guests who continue to choose us, support us, and grow alongside us year after year.

Here’s to growing together, serving our guests even better, and a very exciting 2027 ahead! 🥂

☕️ Meet Carlyn, our September Barista of the Month!

If you’ve been to Café Sperry’s, chances are you’ve experienced Carlyn’s calm, grounding energy. She’s truly our calm in the storm. Endlessly kind, supportive, and ALWAYS willing to go above and beyond for her team and our guests.

Carlyn is one of our amazing shift leads, helps train our new hires, and even lends her creativity to developing new recipes at the café. And when she’s not keeping us all grounded, she’s in school working toward becoming a therapist, which honestly makes perfect sense if you know her.

To celebrate, Carlyn created September’s Gooey Butter Cake Iced Latte, inspired by Jeni’s Gooey Butter Cake ice cream! Made with butterscotch, caramel, and vanilla and topped with our house made cream cheese cold foam. 🤤

Come try Carlyn’s creation this month and help us show her some love!

We’re so lucky to have her on the Café Sperry’s team.
