We coach, we volunteer, and we just try to be all-around good people. We run a cafe out of the Boost FitClub in Nashville, where Owner Chef Jesse crafts incredible ready-made meals. Chef Jesse not only prepares meals for our community but also fuels elite and professional athletes, often serving 30-50+ at one time from the cafe. Fall break is Oct 12 to 16, and the routine goes out the window.

5 ways to keep your athlete fueled when the school schedule disappears:

1. Keep meals on a rhythm. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at close to the usual times, even with a late start.
2. Pack the cooler the night before any open gym, trip or long day.
3. Keep water in reach all day, not just at practice.
4. Keep bedtime close to normal. Sleep still matters on a break.
5. Hand one dinner to someone else. Cooked fresh, never frozen, by Performance Chef Jesse Brown.

Fall break should feel like a break for parents too. Save this for fall break.

The 3pm Problem: practice is at 5 and nobody has eaten a real meal since breakfast.

A simple timeline for game and practice days:

1. About 3 hours out: a real meal. Protein, a starch, and a vegetable your athlete will actually eat.
2. About 1 hour out: something small and easy on the stomach. Fruit, pretzels, half a sandwich.
3. Right after: eat within the first hour or so. Don't let it slide to a late dinner.
4. Nothing new on game day. Stick with foods your athlete already knows.

Every kid is different, so adjust to what sits well for yours. Pack the bag the night before and the 3pm scramble gets a lot smaller.

Real food, made fresh by real chefs, never frozen. That's Chefology.

The enchilada sauce is the reason to order this bowl.

Two new bowls on the menu this week.

Southwest Beef Enchilada Bowl: lean ground beef seasoned with cumin and chili, over jasmine rice with roasted black beans and sweet corn. The enchilada sauce is made in house with corn tortillas blended right into it.

Marinated Chicken Thighs: boneless, skinless thighs in our signature marinade, with saffron rice and green beans. Juicy, the way thighs should be.

Made fresh by Jesse and the team. Never frozen.

Order by Friday for pickup or delivery Monday. Link in bio: chefology.com

Tournament day or double session? Plan the food before the day starts.

The 3pm Problem, conditions edition. A few things that make a long day easier:

1. Eat a real meal about 3 hours before the first game. Don't wait for the whistle.
2. Warm gym or sunny field: water starts early, not at halftime.
3. Cold, windy sideline: pack something warm to eat between games.
4. Double session: keep the in-between meal simple and familiar. Nothing new on a big day.
5. Pack a cooler. It beats the concession line every time.

Our prepared meals are made fresh by our chefs, never frozen, right here in Franklin and Williamson County.

The drive home is where dinner gets decided.

The 3pm Problem, recovery edition: what the ride-home meal looks like.

1. Water first. Before anything else, before the car is out of the lot.
2. A small bite in the car: fruit, yogurt, or chocolate milk. Easy to hold, easy to eat.
3. A real meal within a couple of hours: protein, rice or potatoes, a vegetable.
4. Already made. Nobody is cooking at 8pm after a long practice.

Chefology meals are made fresh by real chefs, never frozen, so dinner is ready when you walk in. [ORDER CUTOFF AND PICKUP DETAILS]

School lunch is short. Here's how to make it count.

The 3pm Problem: school day reality for a kid with practice after.

1. Lunch: some protein, something that's real food, and a fruit or vegetable they will actually eat.
2. In the car: easy to hold, easy to eat, no fork needed.
3. Before practice: small and familiar. Save the bigger meal for after.
4. Nothing new on practice day. Stick with what already sits well.

Our prepared meals are made fresh by real chefs and never frozen, so a real dinner is ready when practice ends.

Send to a parent who needs it.

The 3pm Problem: what does a kid eat 3 hours before a game, 1 hour before, and right after?

3 hours out: a real meal. Protein, rice or potatoes, a vegetable. Food they already know sits well.

1 hour out: something small and familiar. Fruit or a simple snack, nothing heavy.

Right after: water first, then a real meal when the car ride ends.

Nothing new on game day. Stick with what works.

Chefology meals are made fresh by real chefs, never frozen, and already made when you get home.

Save this for the bag.
