Fresh off the announcement of his induction into the Barbecue Hall of Fame® Class of 2026, legendary pitmaster and Peg Leg Porker Spirits founder Carey Bringle is inviting Americans everywhere to join a nationwide “Toast to America” on July 4 at 7:06 p.m. local time.

The celebration honors the spirit of 1776 and America’s upcoming 250th anniversary, bringing people together for one shared moment of gratitude, freedom, and community.

🥃 The toast is anchored by the launch of Spirit of America™ Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey — a limited-edition 100-proof Bottled-in-Bond bourbon released to commemorate America’s semiquincentennial and kick off Peg Leg Porker Spirits’ annual Spirit of America™ Summer Series.

This year has been a special one. As we celebrate the release of our limited-edition Spirit of America™ Bourbon, we’re also raising a glass to our founder, Carey Bringle, on his upcoming induction into the American Royal World Series of Barbecue Barbecue Hall of Fame.

For more than 30 years, Carey has dedicated his life to preserving the traditions of West Tennessee-style BBQ, building businesses from the ground up, mentoring others, and sharing his love for BBQ with anyone willing to pull up a chair.

The Spirit of America™ is a tribute to grit, resilience, and the people who help shape our communities, values Carey has embodied every step of the way.
