We are saddened to hear of this loss. He brought so much beauty to this world through art centered around Black people.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Nathaniel "Nate" Harris of Woodcuts Gallery and Framing . He has been an entrepreneur and a pillar of our community who operated his business on historic Jefferson Street for over 35 years. Nate's dedication to Woodcuts not only beautified our spaces but also enriched our lives, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him and experiencing his work. As we reflect on his legacy, we are reminded of the path he paved for Black entrepreneurs and the profound impact he had as a role model to many. His vision, leadership, and spirit of community will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all those touched by his remarkable life. Rest in power, Nate. Your legacy will continue to inspire and guide us.

It is with mixed feelings I make this announcement. Effectively immediately we have closed the location on Jefferson street. We have out grown the kitchen space because of catering. So we are partnering with 1212 Germatown for events and have moved into a bigger kitchen in East Nashville. I hope while our short time there we were good neighbors. I would like to thank Bob Bernstein, Dj Woodson, Mignon Francois, Jason Luntz, Lamar Wilson, all of our amazing clients and excited to continue the partnership in our new location, my family and especially my squad of friends. Growth is uncomfortable but exciting. Please continue to reach out for events. Now we can go even bigger.

New year, new followers! We thought we would reintroduce ourselves. Les Dames Nashville is the 30th chapter of LDEI, an international organization of women leaders who create a supportive culture in their communities to achieve excellence in the food, beverage, farming and hospitality professions. To do this, members in more than 30 chapters worldwide provide leadership, educational opportunities and host philanthropic events within their communities. Through our events, we raise money to fund our career advancement grants and scholarships, while furthering education and appreciation of our industry. Visit LDEI.org for more information about our international organization. Thank you for your continued support!

While traveling in came across this podcast. Every Tennessean needs to hear this podcast. What we allowed to happen to these children is because we didn’t vote. A high school friend of mine Mark J. Downton was one of the lawyers. And the work he did was amazing. We all have some extra time right now. Give it a listen.
