She’s joining the family business! Her own farm will be a flower farm named “Pink Pony Flower Farm”.

June jumped in to help Jeremiah seed our first round of snap beans. We use the paper-pot system to get an early planting in and avoid poor germination due to cold wet soils.

Our first outdoor market is tomorrow at the new summer location at 150 Sawgrass Drive! Get outside after this dreary, wet day! Your support means the world to us!

Today one of our Women Farmer mentees came out to the farm to work in one of our tunnels to learn how we trellis our cherry tomatoes, intercrop with radishes seeded with the , use the 4-way precision seeder from Johnny’s, and finally install the drip irrigation on each crop. We zipped through the work and learned a lot… like how to not put your drip lines away while turning over a tunnel from winter to summer crops!

What a pleasure to be going into year two of this program with and . Thank you to our mentees, program leaders, and fellow farmers!

Back at the market today with lots of greens and a few spring treats. We return to the main season market on April 26th 9-1pm at the NEW LOCATION! 150 Sawgrass Drive, Rochester. The high school is under construction and the Golisano Institute will be our summer market home.

CSA shares are available now. We would love to boost our on farm share location. FLX folks, reach out if you are interested. We also have 1 discounted share available at this time.

The CSA starts June 7 (Brighton) and June 11 (Naples)! Finalize your plans to join today! We are transplanting tomatoes in our high tunnels today! That means you’ll have access to delicious tomatoes (and more!) all season long!

April on the farm looks like full greenhouses, tractors in the field, high tunnels bursting with fresh produce, and lots of preparation for the May planting season. We are actively planning and seeding to meet the needs of the CSA and market. When you join now, we know how many family’s we will be growing for. This contributes to the success of the farm and CSA as a whole.

What are the benefits of a CSA?
You lock in a discounted price for the duration of the season. Weekly share item prices range from $4.05 to $4.44; depending on share size. That is upwards of a ~20% discount from our average market price of $5.00 per item.

Why would we offer this?
As a CSA member you are paying up front in the early spring, which supports our start up costs and our income in the lean time of year.

You are guaranteed nutritious, fresh vegetables weekly all season long. We won’t cancel markets or change plans. As farmers, we will do everything we can to offer a large variety of produce that is harvested fresh for you weekly!

We have CSA shares Available for the main season starting early June!!! Pickups on Thursday from the farm, 18 weeks of market style (you pick your own, whatever you want!) or preselected shares. No sprays, organic practices, and fresh to you!!!!!

Today we celebrate National Agriculture Day! On the farm we are committed to growing clean, nutritious vegetables year round for our market and local community. We take enormous pride in having fresh food every week on the farm.

Today is a great day to join our main season CSA! Secure veggies all season long at a set price. If you’re looking forward to tomatoes in June through October, we will have them!
