After the catastrophic incident on Saturday with the Wicked Good Eats food boat, WINK News reporter Riley Lehman reached out to owner Adrian Perry to see what can be done to ensure safety on the water. Nelson from Tow BoatUS, Kristina Voigt of SunDazed Boat Tours and myself all offered our own take on the situation. Watch WINK News tonight for our exclusive interviews.

☀️ HANG IN THERE, BIMINI!!! 😂🩷
My trusty old Bimini top has served me well over the years aboard In The Pink! Through countless sunny days, salty breezes, and all kinds of weather at Keewaydin Island, it’s done its job!
But now, it’s officially hanging on by a thread… LITERALLY! 🧵🤣

The good news? A brand-new Bimini is in the works thanks to Naples Canvas and Upholstery! 🎉🩷
I’m SO excited for its much-needed makeover! Now I just need the old Bimini to hang in there a little longer until her replacement is ready!
🤞 Fingers crossed, seams together, and NO strong winds, please! 😂🌴☀️

To boat or not to boat… THAT is the question! 🦩🍦🩷
Being the ice cream lady means second guessing the meteorologist every morning!
Do we trust the forecast? Do we trust the sky? Do we flip a coin? ☀️🌦️⛈️💨

But even when their forecast is WRONG and the sun comes out, it’s often too late for me to go and also most everyone else has already made other plans! And even though it turns out to be a beautiful day on Keewaydin it can be a very slow day for the ice cream lady. ☹️
Unfortunately, we have to make that call early in the morning, long before Mother Nature makes up her mind! So today was a “no go” unfortunately. ☹️ But just know I’d MUCH rather be out there selling ice cream and seeing your smiling faces! 💕

So until tomorrow….where we do it all again but with the wind forecast…💨💨💨
