attended Culinary School at the prestigious Steigenberger Institute in Germany. After gathering over 25 years of cooking experience in different cultures,collecting traditional family recipes and modern cooking methods, Monika and her brother Klaus who also attended the same school, have come together once again to open this small restaurant, *THE BLACK FOREST*

vious restaurant in Naples "The Heidelberg" was well known for the quality and the service they offered and won numerous awards. Our goal once again is to offer good food, good ingredients and good service in a comfortable atmosphere; the basics of a good restaurant.

The largest sailing event in the world has just ended. Kieler Woche in Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein, one of Germany's largest Volksfeste and northern Europe's largest summer festival.

It began with 20 yachts as a competition between naval officers and merchants on 23 July 1882, now the “Mother of all regattas” this year there were 1,500. And on Saturday of the more than 120 ships in the traditional windjammer parade on Kieler Förde, which included steam ships, 60 were tall and traditional sailing ships.

A summer festival in the northern most of Germany's 16 states from 20 to 28June, nine days of tough sailing, high spirits, streets and squares filled with stands, street performers, and bands performing everything from Jazz and Classical to "Bring your dancing shoes".
